Château Les Carrasses is a 19th Century Wine Domaine in the Languedoc, South of France, extensively restored as a luxury self-catering estate and boutique winery.

Facilities include a magnificent infinity pool, floodlit clay tennis, boulodrome and barbecue area, conservatory, orchard and olive grove. Our bistro and bar serve elegant Mediterranean cuisine alongside the best regional wines and classic cocktails – to be enjoyed around the pool, in the salon, the tasting rooms, or on any one of several terraces.

Perfect for a weekend break or longer holiday, every suite, apartment and villa at Château Les Carrasses is spacious and luxurious, making the most of the superb volumes and textures of the 19th century buildings.

Each property is individually interior designed, though all share a chic French take on tradition-meets-modernity. Beds are large and comfortable and bathrooms have large tubs and/or showers, comfortable bathrobes and Fragonard toiletries. Living areas offer wi-fi, flat screen TV/DVD, and iPod, fully charged with carefully selected playlists.

Every property has a fully-equipped kitchen, and all are air-conditioned and heated. Washing machines are provided in all apartments except the chateau suites and attic apartments.

Most of the properties have sunny private gardens or terraces with BBQ, outdoor dining areas and sun loungers. Many also enjoy private heated pools.

Beds are made on arrival and changed every three to four days. The apartment or suite is cleaned before your arrival and on departure but we do ask that it be left in a clean and tidy condition.

Capestang

The Château is just five minutes from the villages of Quarante and Capestang. Distinct in character, these traditional wine-making villages offer all the services and conveniences you could want, including a dozen or so restaurants, cafés and bars - from upmarket canal-side restaurants to friendly village cafés, popular twice-weekly markets, countless wine domains, supermarkets, doctors, and a very active community life.

The immediate locality offers a huge range of recreational options. The golden beaches at Serignan with its feet-in-the sand restaurants are a 25-minute drive through vineyards and villages. Coarse, fly and sea fishing abound. Countless vineyards and markets offer the very best local produce. And on days when you feel like something a little more urban, you are around 20 minutes from the compact cities of Narbonne and Béziers, while Montpellier, France’s ‘most exciting city', is less than an hour away.
