The Paphos region

Situated in south west corner of Cyprus, Paphos is a world heritage site and has a culture heritage dating back to 1400BC, with many sites located in & around the town. This combined with the modern day Paphos with it's taverna's & shop's spread along the sea front & around the harbour all makes for the perfect holiday destination.

There are two parts to Paphos which have almost merged into one over the years. Kato Paphos is set around the harbour on the seafront and Paphos Town, set back from the harbour on the hillside. Couples and families enjoy holidays in Paphos, benefiting from the best of both worlds; from excellent sandy beaches and lively nightlife around Kato Paphos to local bars and craft shops in the maze of narrow streets in Paphos Town.

Paphos can boast 4 beaches and a number of rocky coves to explore, as well as other fantastic beaches nearby and a number of great activities and water sports for the more active holiday makers.

Around the harbour and seafront there is a fairly lively scene with plenty of discos, bars, nightclubs and live music venues to choose from, but if you fancy a quiet evening just stroll into Paphos Old Town to sample the local bars.

Fashion boutiques and clothes shops offer the latest fashions, whilst the craft shops sell some good cheap holiday gifts, such as lace, pottery, leather wares and ceramics.

Paphos caters for all tastes when it comes to eating, from fast food outlets and British style pubs, to delicious fish restaurants and harbour-side tavernas serving exquisite local dishes, such as mezze.

Golf is great in Paphos. Aside from Paphos' well-known beaches and historically-rich regions, many travel to Paphos & Cyprus to take advantage of the island's golf courses. You have the newly opened Elea Estate, designed by Sir Nick Faldo, (near Paphos airport, Aphrodite Hills Golf Club, which is built upon two plateaus overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and part of the Aphrodite Hills Resort. The Secret Valley Golf Club, located on the southern tip of Paphos, is an 18-hole championship course laid out amongst sculpted rock formations and beautiful greenery. Check out also the Tsada Golf Club - in the process of being renamed Minthis Hills due the expansion of property development in the immediate area. Built in 1994, the 18-hole course was the first to be laid out in Cyprus and is set in the grounds of a 12th century monastery, which makes for great scenery while you're teeing off.

Anarita

Anarita is a pretty and traditional Cypriot village located just five minutes from Paphos Airport and fifteen minutes drive from the centre of Paphos. The village has a mini- market, a pharmacy and some traditional tavernas all within walking distance.

There is bank and cash point machine next to the mini-market and a regular bus service runs to and from Paphos.

A short drive will take you to the villages of Mandria, Timi and Kouklia where you will find plenty more local tavernas, restaurants and supermarkets. Anarita is ideally located for visitors who want to experience living in a traditional village but also want to be close to evening entertainment offered in central Paphos. There is also a good choice of beaches. The sandy bay of Coral Beach is about 25 minutes drive.

You will also find four world class golf courses on your door step. Aphrodite Hills, Secret Valley, Elea Resort and Minthis Hills provide excellent quality golf with stunning scenery. One of the largest dams in Cyprus (Asprokremmos) is a short drive away for those who enjoy fishing.

Skiing in the winter months in the Troodos Mountains is approx 1 hour away.
