The South Wales region

Depot rd is perfectly positioned to explore South Wales, described by 'Lonely Planet' as the 'Best region on Earth to visit in 2012'. Why fly round the world looking for beauty and adventure when it's on your doorstep. The beauty of Wales is about being part of its landscape, just a 5 minute walk and you can be picnicking by the river, or cycling to the Afan valley to explore one of many routes for all ages and skill levels, if you don't have a bike it is easy to hire one. A 15 minute drive and you could be climbing over sand dunes and paddling on Aberavon beach, the 3 sandy miles attracts surfers and walkers whatever the weather. At Ogmore there is sea kayaking, horse trekking over dunes and golfing and biking. Visit the Mumbles for little cafes serving locally sourced produce, fresh fish restaurants or the best ice cream. Swansea bay and the Gower has 50 miles of unspoilt beaches, coves and bays to discover and explore. These are world class and truly stunning. Inland there are walks, waterfalls and castles and museums to explore. Nearly every activity you can think of, you can experience here. The Breacon Beacons and the Black Mountains are also easily accessible (under an hour by car) and offer even more opportunities for adventure.
