Blenheim Way is a very comfortable cottage set close to the heart of the popular Cotswold market town of Moreton in Marsh. The cottage is less than 5 mins level walk from the centre with the train station (direct from London & Oxford) a similar distance. We (Manor Cottages) feel that this ideal for someone looking for a peaceful location but is well located as a base from which to tour the Cotswolds' area; equally you could do simply 'do nothing' (!) as everything you need is in the cottage and Moreton will certainly keep you occupied.

Internally the cottage is presented to a modern and high standard with good proportioned rooms throughout all with a real sense of comfort and relaxation. It is approx 10 years old, has a very warm and attractive feeling and is just as perfect for your winter break as it is for a summer holiday.

Proximity to some of the Cotswolds most desirable hotspots makes this an excellent option for those looking to tour the region.

The Cotswolds region

Moreton-in-Marsh is an attractive market town situated in the northern Cotswolds at the head of the Evenlode valley on the Fosse Way. It was once a major stopping point on a Roman road which travelled from the south coast all the way to Lincoln. Much of the towns architecture is still evident and displays history and classic signs of the region's 'style'. As you would expect the town has a long history including being a stopping location for the old coaching route from London to Worcester, hence several coaching inns that still exist today. Additionally, there is The Four Shires Stone is about two miles out of the town - the meeting place of four counties: Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Oxfordshire.

Today the town has a great selection of shops including teashops, restaurants, antiques and art galleries. There are many delightful Cotswolds villages within a short drive with more of the well known hotspots such as Bourton on the Water, Burford and Stow on the Wold very close by. Warwick and Warwick Castle plus Stratford upon Avon are nearby also.

Add to this the fact that there is a train station in Moreton (just 5 mins walk away also) with direct access to Oxford and London, a great location for sure!!
