The GR51, a well-marked and maintained hiking trail known as the Balcony of the Cote d' Azur, traverses the Peygros forest and is a unique way to discover the area. There are walking and cycling paths at the foot of the villa terraces, accessed through the front security gate of the domain.
Grasse is 15 minutes away, with excellent road and rail links. The town of Grasse is said to be the core of the Riviera as well as a model of Provencal culture. The city offers splendid vistas over the shores near Cannes. A Cité d'Art & d'Histoire, Grasse is known as the Capital of Flowers and Perfume. A visit to this noble, vital city is a must to appreciate its key role in the political and economic history of the region. The Pays de Grasse is characterised by its hills rolling gently to the Sea, its many Provencal villages (Opio, Mouans-Sartoux, Le Rouret), some perched on the foothills of the pre-Alps (Cabris, Saint-Cezaire, Gourdon, Auribeau). This territory, marked by the Route Napoleon (Saint-Vallier-de-Thiey), extending to the Loup and Siagne Rivers, offers a large number of historical and architectural treasures.
Peymeinade is a thriving community of 7500. The bustling high street has several bakers, butchers, delicatessen, tabac and newsagents, bars, pizzerias, cafes, florists, hairdressers, pharmacies, and a small Casino supermarket. Market day is Monday, near the ancient church, and there are two large supermarkets - Intermarche and Carrefour. During the summer, in the pine forest of Parc Daudet, summer entertainment is put on in the evenings - open air cinema screenings and the Gansad'a Jazz Festival.
