The Lazio region

Piazza di Spagna:

In Tridente's Area, this square has long had a reputation as a Bohemien place: Keats and Shelley hung out here, now in the house where they lived there is a Museum: the Keats-Shelley Memorial House.

Nowadays it's the heart of the city's shopping district and the best place to reach all most famous monuments by walking.

Also, it's a short walk from the Trevi Fountain.

Trevi Fountain:

This fountain almost fills the entire square, its Rome's most famous fountain, maybe you know the movie “La dolce vita”, where the actress Anita Ekberg splashed here.

The water comes from the “acqua virgo”, a 1st century's underground aqueduct.

The name Trevi referes to “tre vie” (three roads) that converge at the fountain.

It's traditional to throw a coin into the fountain to ensure your return to the Eternal City.

Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna:

The gallery exposes the most prestigious painting's collections and sculpture of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries: works of artists belonging to major contemporary movements such Neoclassicism, Romanticism and Impressionism of Macchiaioli movement in Tuscany. There are also works by Goya, Géricault, Delacroix, Blake, Duchamp, de Chirico, Cara, Miró, Kandinsky, Klimt, Degas, Monet, Cezanne, Modigliani, Mondrian, Van Gogh, Courbet. Interesting is the "Sketch for the tomb of Vittorio Alfieri" by Canova; beautiful is the "Three Ages" by Klimt, two metaphysical works of Carra and Morandi and "Le Cabanon de Jourdan" Cezanne.

Villa Borghese:

A big green heart of Rome, the most famous park in the capital. The villa is able to offer a variety of attractions and entertainment, you will love this place if you like to walk and run outdoors, if you're a group of friends or families who gather on the lawns in colorful picnics, if you're art's admirer who enjoy numerous museums presence: the great modern art gallery, the Etruscan museum and the Museum Carlo Bilotti collection, the Borghese Gallery and Museum in which you can visit one of the most important art galleries Rome and the wonderful sculptures by Bernini.
