Rowan Cottage is one of our two bedroom barn-conversions, converted from a cow barn in about 2000. The neighbouring cottage Mountain Ash is a mirror image of Rowan. Situated on Court Farm, Exford in the heart of Exmoor National Park, the cottages are ideal for walkers, horse riders, cyclists, dogs and their owners and anyone who wants to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the true English countryside. Heating, electricity and bed-linen are included in the price. Free Wifi is available.
Downstairs there is a large lounge with leather sofas, flat screen TV and a wood burner. The large kitchen/diner is well equipped with electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome downstairs only but a dog gate is provided to prevent them from going upstairs.
The back door is a stable-type door which opens into a fenced private garden laid mainly to lawn. There is a rotary washing line and garden chairs and table.
Upstairs there is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom with two single beds and a shared bathroom with bath and shower facilities. The double bedroom has TV and tea-making facilities. Both bedrooms have their own wash basins. Note that all of our cottages are non-smoking.

Court Farm Holiday Cottages are situated in the heart of Exmoor National Park on the borders of Somerset and Devon. The National Park offers fantatstic scenery and wildlife, endless walking and horse riding on the many paths and bridleways as well as opportunities for mountain biking.
The many villages offer great pubs for food and drink plus plenty of tearooms so a relaxing holiday is also possible! The medieval town of Dunster is well worth a visit and offers a castle as well. The award winning North Devon beaches are within easy driving distance and the spectacular Exmoor cliffs (the highest in England) are always worth seeing. Recently voted the UK's favourite National Park, Exmoor has to be worth a visit at any time of year.
Located in the Somerset village of Exford, Court Farm Holiday Cottages are positioned on a bridleway adjacent to the River Exe right in the heart of Exmoor National Park. Exford has two good pubs, a tearoom, village stores and a Post Office. COurt Farm is ideal for walkers, riders, cyclists, dogs and their owners and anyone who wants to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the true English countryside. England’s largest wild animal, the Red Deer and the endangered Exmoor Pony can all be seen on Exmoor close to Court Farm. A wonderful centre for exploring this area of unspoilt countryside, it is also ideal for a spot of stargazing. Exmoor National Park has recently acquired International Dark Sky Reserve status and featured on the BBC Stargazing Live TV program. The night skies can be spectacular.
Tarr Steps, an ancient clapper bridge is a renowned beauty spot just 5 miles away and Watersmeet, Lynton & Lynmouth are within easy reach by car.
