This is a lovely apartment on a friendly, quiet, half residential, sought after complex, ideal for couples and families. It has the advantage of being on the ground floor which offers a large patio area and neat front garden with mature greenery which adds privacy, and a gate leading to the communal gardens. The complex is spacious with large well-maintained gardens. The apartment has 2 bedrooms, the main bedroom has a king-sized bed & TV and the 2nd bedroom has bunk beds. Both rooms have plenty of storage space i.e. built-in wardrobes and chests of drawers. The whole apartment including the bedrooms is very bright, fresh and airy. The bedrooms also have sliding patio doors onto the patio and the main bedroom has an en-suite with bath, over-bath shower, toilet, sink & bidet. There is also a main bathroom with shower cubicle, sink & toilet. A sliding door, off the hallway, provides a large lounge with 40in flat screen TV with SKY & DVD player, large leather sofas & dining table and IPod player. As one of the sofas is a very comfortable sofa bed the lounge can double up as a third bedroom. There is a heating/AC unit also. La Cala De Mijas is a fabulous town and really is a jewel along the Spanish coast. It still retains a lot of quietness and charm and local feel where you would probably not find so much in neighbouring Fuengirola and the apartment is situated as such that, with the town being a 10min flat walk away, you are far enough, but also near enough for all your needs. The town offers well stocked supermarkets, restaurants/bars, newsagents, tobacconists and of course the beautiful beach.

Neat, well kept, clean and quiet complex with large gated pool with showers & baby pool and toilets. Nearby golf courses, twice weekly market & bustling town.
As the name of the area suggests, the Costa Del Sol has amazing weather - averaging at around 300 days of sunshine a year! The summer's are long and hot and there are many, many beaches to choose from offering bars/restaurants and watersports. La Cala De Mijas is along the coast neighboured by similar, if not larger and more built up, busier towns and urbinisations. The historic city of Malaga is only 20/30min drive away where you can take an open top bus tour of the city and stop off at museums and art galleries. Further on there is Granada where you can visit the Alhambra Palace and not too far away from there is Sierra Nevada ski resort. Puerto Banus is another eye-opening place to visit (remember your wallet) and Rhonda and Benhavis are well worth the journey as the views and charm of these historic places are breathtaking.
La Cala has two festivals in July and August. The beach is only a 5 minute walk away and is a flat easy walk which makes it perfect for any age including children and the elderly. There are many restaurants in la cala including Chinese, Indian, Italian as well Spanish. La Noria golf course is five minutes walk. There is also a driving range within ten minutes walk. There is a local market on wednesdays and saturdays that is five minutes walk. Cabopino is a beautiful small marina with nice restaurants and a secluded beach with waves for the amateur surfer great fun for all the family. The town of Marbella is an easy drive away. Puerto Banus is 15 miles away and worth the trip to see the rich and famous playground with expensive boats and boutiques.
Malaga city is 20 minutes drive with several festivals of dance and music throughout the year. Malaga centre is 9 miles away by car, with fantastic shops and a promenade. In the winter time, the ski resort of Sierra Nevada is only 1 hour 30 mins away.
There is a shopping mall 7 minutes drive away just before you reach Fuengirola and a larger centre just outside Marbella 15 minutes away. Go-karting , trampolining, and pedalos are available on 'Funny beach' which is about 12 minutes drive away.
Tivoli world theme park is 15 minutes drive away in Benalmadena. Fishing trips and scuba diving are available in Fuengirola. There are two water parks. One in Torremolinos and one in Fuengirola (7 minutes drive). There is a popular and rather good crazy golf course just opposite the water park in Fuengirola.
La Cala De Mijas, for a small town, has a lot to offer! Every bank holiday/festival is celebrated - shops close and there is often a parade through the town. In August a giant Paella is cooked on the beach which feeds the whole town (for free)! The market ground at the top of the road from the apartment is used for a variety of things i.e. a market every Wednesday and Saturday (clothes, food, leather goods, tablecloths etc), The Ferrier (fun fair) every July for a week followed by a Circus. There are street sellers and stalls down at the beach throughout the summer and bungee trampolines too.
