Casa da Amahna has been our family holiday home for 15 years now, and is a wonderful place for special family times. The flow of the house works very well, as you can be part of the pool area while inside the lounge, and keep an eye on the kids. It is simply, but tastefully decorated with love, and you can feel this in the warmth of the home. The kitchen is well equipped as we are passionate cooks! The garden is well established with wonderful trees from the old Carob tree to the fig and orange trees. No one looks onto the property so it is totally private and secluded. NO noisy neighbours to contend with!

Bedroom 1 and 2 have a king and queen bed respectively, and then bedroom 3 has 2 double beds. the 4th bedroom is really a children's room, and has 2 single beds only and is a small room off the lounge overlooking the pool, just so you are aware of this. Suitable for a single person, or 2 kids.
The shared bathroom has a shower, and the en suite off bedroom 1, has a bath/and shower over the bath.
The kitchen is very well equipped, as we enjoy cooking very much. It has loads of fridge space, and a six gas plate stove with a large oven. There is a juicer, and a blender.
|Further details outdoors|
There is a lovely flow from the openplan lounge/dining room onto the pool deck. There is also an outdoor dining table and chairs, as most evenings you would dine outside. There is a built in barbeque as well as a portable Weber barbeque. The garden has lovely old trees which provide shade in the hot summer months.
Our housekeeper is employed year round and lives down the road from the villa, so she will welcome you, and will take care of cleaing twice a week. She is also available to do extra washing and ironing should you want to book her directly for this. Her husband does the pool and the garden as well as any handyman functions that you may require.
The Algarve is a wonderful region for a family holiday, as you can combine the beach with the historical towns of interest, like Silves and Tavira. The weather is good from May through until October, so there is a long summer period. There are many beautiful beaches to go to from the villa, with Armacao de Pera being the closest at 10kms away.
The beaches of Armacao da Pera and Gale are 10 kms from the villa, and are worth a visit. The Algarve shopping is in Guia, a 10 minute drive from the villa, and it has loads of shops, restaurants, banks, cinemas, and a huge supermarket, so it is very convenient. There are many markets in the area for fresh produce. Silves is 7kms from the villa, and has many historical sites worth visiting as well as restaurants, shops and supermarkets. Portimao is a large port city with active beachfront and a harbour. There is an active night life here too.
