The house is a special paradise on Earth. A hill in Chianti Classico, the highest in altitude and the lowest in tourist contamination. The air here is thin, the oil smells of rosemary and pennyroyal, the wine tastes of blueberries and violets.
The bread is made with no salt and could taste a bit dull at first, but just by laying on it some homemade prosciutto bought at Enrico's grocery in Lucolena square and maybe some 15 days old soft pecorino cheese, you'll realize that this tasteless Tuscan bread is brilliant. Lucolena is still a small village. At the local Casa del Popolo on sundays you eat better than at home.
From here you can reach with ease modernity and history, enterntainment and culture, with Florence, Siena, Arezzo and all the Chianti villages at less than an hour drive.

Tuscany is still one of the most visited regions in the world (but you will not see all the tourists when staying at our house!). Its geographical position and mild climate, its history of greatness in many human fields, its food and wines - all make it a place where you can always discover something new, the unknown village, the small homely restaurant, the ancient little church - they all still exist!
Then of course you wouldn't want to miss the beauty of the main towns: Firenze, Siena, Arezzo, Pisa. And all the places where so many tourists go - there is an excellent reason for that.
In the middle of Tuscany, the beauty of this place is due to its very central position, yet not entirely in the heat of things. Lucolena is a small village with no particular tourist attractions (except for its excellent Casa del Popolo restaurant open in weekends and some Etruscan remains), on the higher hills of Chianti, but nearby Greve is a marvellous village not to miss (with its wonderful Cantine and Falorni cured meats boutique), together with all the Chianti Classico other villages: Radda, Castellina, Gaiole. Vineyards are everywhere and wineries too. You wouldn't want to miss on fo the most famous butcheries in the world, in Dario Cecchini's shop and restaurants in Panzano. This list could never end, you'll find the rest by yourself and won't be disappointed!
