PLEASE NOTE - CHANGE OVER DAY AT SUNNYSPOT IS FRIDAY. THIS MEANS THAT WE CAN OFFER WEEK LONG HOLIDAYS - FRIDAY TO FRIDAY, OR SHORT BREAKS - FRIDAY TO MONDAY AND MONDAY TO FRIDAY.
Winster is ideally placed to explore The Peak District. Many walks from the door, two pubs, village shop, cafe and buses to Matlock and Bakewell.
A bright comfortable stone built cottage situated in a very quiet part of the village, yet only 3 minutes walk to the shop, post office, bus stop, pub and village church. The secluded garden enjoys the sun all day. Secure parking is situated on hard standing next to the barn in our field.
The cottage will accommodate up to four adults in comfort - you will all have plenty of space!
We also have a folder where we ask visitors to list their favourite pubs, walks, shops, villages and anything else they care to mention. This really is a 'tell it how it is' guide.
You may wish to plan your visit to coincide with one or more of our village events, Pancake Races, Wakes Week, Secret Gardens, Winster Guisers or Quiz Nights - take a look at the Winster Village Website for details.

Sunnyspot is a no smoking cottage, and we regret we cannot accept pets because of the livestock in the adjacent field.
The cottage has an open staircase, and three stone steps leading up to the garden at the back, so we suggest children should be supervised at all times.
We ask guests to try to arrive from 2.30pm onwards on the first day and to try to vacate the cottage by 10.30am on the last day, this allows time for thorough cleaning of the cottage.
For what our guests thought, please look at our fabulous reviews on TripAdvisor further down this page - we are really thrilled that they have enjoyed the cottage so much, and even though it's our first year, we already have repeat bookings.
Winster is a former lead mining village close to many superb attractions. Chatsworth, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall are all within easy reach. For the children, The Height of Abraham and Alton Towers are a drive away, and there are so many fabulous walks, trails, villages, pubs and other places of interest to visit.
For a small village, Winster has a lot going on. Shrove Tuesday sees the closing of Main Street for the Pancake Races. The Street is closed again for Carnival Day which is the last day of Wakes Week - a week long festival full of events including quizes, hill race, pet shows, and all the events you would expect from a tradtional village. Carnival Day starts with a fancy dress parade and also features the famous Winster Morris Dancers.
A couple of weeks later is our Secret Gardens. A hugely popular weekend with hundreds of visitors enjoying many open gardens, and sampling cream teas, Pimms and homemade ice creams.
