Enjoying a peaceful location, the property is surrounded by a number of excellent walks as well as a wide variety of wildlife spotting opportunities, with everything from otters to seals, puffiness, whales and dolphins to be seen in the local area. Also close by is Keiss Beach, a popular destination with water-sports enthusiasts, as well as a traditional 18 hole links golf course and a historical castle near Keiss Harbour. The cottage is also well situated for exploring the beautiful county of Caithness, with its beautiful coastlines and dramatic scenery. Those who don't mind heading a little further afield can also take a trip to John O'Groats, a popular village situated only 15 miles away and home to a unique selection of shops and cafes, a craft village, wildlife tours, a museum and a lovely selection of walks.
