The quintessential tropical paradise; Bali enjoys a delightful climate all year round as its situated just below the equator so the weather is not as muggy or wet as Singapore or Malaysia. Bali despite its tourist destination status is still steeped in the traditional Balinese Hindu culture.
There are literally thousands of places of interest including sacred sites, ancient temples, galleries, world renowned restaurants and bars, volcanoes, beaches, rivers, ravines, rice terraces, the artists village of Ubud and the shopping and eating district of Seminyak.
Canggu is perhaps the most developing area of Bali. Originally a sleepy beach side village mostly consisting of rice fields, it is now home to numerous restaurants and spa's. Echo beach is very popular for surfers, or you can watch the waves and enjoy the famous sunsets in one of the beach side restaurants or café's. Deus Ex Machina temple of enthusiasm is located one minutes walk from Villa Puri Pura, here they have excellent dining and live music from visiting international artists.
There are a number of stables offering horse riding on the beach and through the rice fields, whilst the Greg Norman designed Nirwana Golf Course is just a short drive up the coast. There is an olympic sized swimming pool nearby, plus the Canggu Club have excellent gym and tennis facilities.
