The West Country region

West Penwith or 'The Land's End Peninsular' is situated in the far South West of Cornwall and is arguably the most picturesque area of the country. The Peninsular has diverse land and seascape with hidden sandy coves some of which are only accessible by scrambling down rocky cliff paths. It boasts long golden beaches, ancient moorland, rolling farmland, shipwrecks, sunken treasure and iron age settlements. Lands End is a stone's throw away with its rugged cliffs and tales of mystery and buried treasure under the waves.

The far west of Cornwall enjoys one of the mildest climates in the country which makes it a perfect getaway all year round.

If it's surfing or sunbathing you're after or perhaps a romantic walk along a deserted beach then you can are spoilt for choice with some of the area's best beaches on your doorstep such as Sennen, Praa Sands and Porthcurno. The Eden Project is also only a 45 minute drive away.

The famous St Michael's Mount (described as the jewel in Cornwall's crown) and Lanhydrock House are located close by or you may chose to take a day trip to the Isles of Scilly on 'The Scillonian'. The terminal and ticket office is just a short stroll from the holiday homes.

A particularly enjoyable and picturesque journey is from Penzance via St Erth to St Ives. Once a small fishing village St Ives has grown to become one of the most famous & popular seaside towns in Cornwall which attracts scores of holiday makers every year.
