Lovely Victorian cottage in the seaside town of Ramsgate, renowned for its sandy beaches and royal harbour. The cottage is close to the promenade and harbour with the nearest beaches, town centre and the Royal Yacht marina - all within a few minutes walk.
The Walled Garden is located in the conservation area of Ramsgate. Characterful and atmospheric, in Victorian times this was the main trading area of the town - now a quiet backwater. It is characterised by individually designed Georgian and Victorian buildings, now largely residential, with many retaining their old shop fronts.
All that remains of The Walled Garden's former history is the old shop sign on the cottage's small narrow frontage. Attached behind is its wide Victorian cottage. This features a 50 foot walled garden. Formerly a coaching courtyard, it is a delightful garden with lawn, raised beds and patio area. The garden is enclosed and safe for children to play. Within the garden is a charming Victorian Outhouse room - popular with children as a play room in the winter months. During summer months it is available as a double bedroom to sleep up to 12 guests (by arrangement).
A large house, with many period features and bright spacious rooms, the cottage is particularly suited for family holidays and group-get-togethers.
Ground floor: spacious sitting room with 3 sofas (and recessed alcove with single bench bed). Large dining room overlooking garden, seating 8 with extending table seating up to 12. Adjacent well-equipped kitchen overlooking garden. Ground floor toilet. Long hallway running from front to back with door to back garden.
First floor: 3 double bedrooms - one with shower and washbasin, family bathroom with shower.
Second floor: large attic bedroom with double and single bed.
Outside: Large garden room (with double bed to provide accommodation for up to 12 guests in the summer season). Covered walkway from back door of cottage to garden room.
Secure parking for one car in allocated car parking space. Unrestricted parking outside the cottage and in surrounding area.

Ramsgate lies at the most easterly point of Kent on the Isle of Thanet, a peninsula with spectacular coastal scenery and a wealth of sandy beaches, with 8 beaches in Thanet this year awarded the coveted blue flag award for excellent quality of bathing water.
Kent is known as the Garden of England due to its beautiful countryside and wealth of historic homes and gardens. You can visit the medieval castles dotted along the Kent coastline. The historic towns of Canterbury, Dover, Sandwich and Deal are all within 30 minutes drive away.
Ramsgate is a traditional English seaside resort with its ice-cream parlours and fish and chip shops amid its lovely Georgian and Victorian terraces. It boasts the only Royal Harbour in England containing a splendid yacht marina.
There's a lovely walk along the chalk cliffs to Pegwell Bay, a nature reserve with a wide variety of wading birds. In the other direction there is an equally rewarding cliff top walk to the quaint seaside resort of Broadstairs, or along the coast at low tide.
