This apartment is for you if you want to treat yourselves to a relaxing comfortable stay in a safe neighbourhood with excellent transport links to the Centre of London (Less than 30 mins) and a great High Street with Supermarkets, Banks, Cafe's, Pubs, Shops and Restaurants only a few minutes walk away.

The Accommodation

The accommodation comprises of two whole floors (1st and 2nd floor) of this delightful Victorian cottage style terraced house with stripped wooden floors throughout. Please note that there are steps up to the first floor bedrooms and further steps up to the 2nd floor kitchen/living room.

The Bathroom

There is a large clean, white bathroom with a shower, sink, WC and a generously proportioned bath in which you can submerge yourself and soak away the tiredness of the day. Slippers, toiletries and towels are provided.

The Cloakroom

There is also an additional separate WC/cloakroom with WC

Bedrooms

Up a further few steps you come to the two comfortable, double bedrooms. Both have good quality mattresses on the beds with100% Egyptian Cotton sheets and duvet covers for that little bit of extra luxury. Both rooms have traditional sash windows and are elegantly decorated blending new and old styles. The main bedroom has a Secure Safe for your valuables and the second bedroom has a variety of interesting books which can be swapped or taken for a small donation to the local charity. Both bedrooms a have a Radio/ CD player and selection of CD's.

Kitchen Living Room

The final staircase takes you up to the kitchen/living room which has a contemporary feel and views over the roof tops. The kitchen has recently been re-furbished to provide brand new appliances and is well equipped. The lounge area has a large comfortable sofa which can be opened to be a double bed for extra guests. There is a new flat screen HD, TV with Freeview channels, USB connectivity and a separate DVD player. Wifi access is available throughout the flat. A cupboard is stocked with traditional games and there are 2 music systems one for CD's and one for I-pods and I-phones.

We do not have private parking or garage however there is a Car Park 1 minutes walk from the apartment. This costs £5 per day except Sundays when it is free and the rest of the week after 6.30pm. Payment is only accepted by phone with credit card. We can also offer 'visitors parking permits' which also costs £5 per day and parking is on the roadside outside the flat.

The South East England region

Traditional black cabs, the Tower of London, colorful street markets, the River Thames, chic Covent Garden, Tate Modern, Canary Wharf and the Docklands, and the expansive Hyde Park exemplify some of the contrasts that make London one of Europe’s most exciting and vibrant destinations.

North London

Finchley has an 'arty vibe' and the Arts Depot which is only a few minutes walking distance, is a hub of comedy, music, drama and art in the area. Notable people who have lived here include : Charles Dickens lived here when he wrote Martin Chuzzlewit (1843) after a trip to the United States, Comedians such as Spike Milligan (Goons) and Eric Morecambe (Morecambe and Wise Show) also lived here, as did Harry Beck (the designer of our famous London Underground Map).

Actors, comedians, artists, musicians, writers and journalists still reside in Finchley. Down in East Finchley The Phoenix Cinema is an 1930's Art Deco building is one of the oldest cinemas in the UK and was voted as the best single screen cinema in London.There are also plenty of activities for the kids at the Finchley Leisure Centre including Bowling, Swimming and Cinema.

Arriving back at the little station of Woodside Park from a trip into the centre, one has a feeling of calm and serenity. Yet within a few minutes from our house we still have a choice of restaurants ranging from Japanese, Italian, Thai, Turkish, Chinese, Persian, Indian, Azerbaijani, Greek and not forgetting a Fish and Chip Shop. Not too far away there is an attractive country pub that serves a good old traditional Sunday Roast and there are several more pubs with to choose from. Cafes and Takeaways range from the big chains (Starbucks and Coffee Republic, McDonalds and Subway) to the more independent local variety. We have bookshops, clothes shops, an old fashioned sweet shop, bakeries, chemists, banks with ATM machines, a quirky gift shop and Spas for a bit of pampering.

A few meters from our house an outdoor market is held every Friday in the car park.

We also love the fact that The Northern Line (Woodside Park is on this line), takes us directly to many of the interesting places in the centre, without having to change trains and as an extra bonus its normally easy to get a seat at Woodside Park.

The Northern Line goes directly to Camden Town for the market (22mins), Highgate for Hampstead Heath and Highgate Cemetery(12mins), Tottenham Court Road (29mins) and Leicester Square (31mins) for Theatre Land and Oxford Street Shopping, Charring Cross (33mins) for The National Gallery, Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace, Embankment (43mins) for The South Bank and Royal Festival Hall and London Eye.
