Trulli La Cedrina is a luxurious holiday home in Puglia which has been carefully restored in authentic Apulian style.
One of the main highlights of this Trulli it its accessibility to the outdoor area. From the dining room and the kitchen you have immediate access to the outdoor living area. The comfortable siting area with large stone table and bench is covered by a large wooden pergola and in its immediate vicinity is a stone barbecue. This area is perfect to enjoy outside meals during the summer temperatures in the shadow of the large pergola and with an excellent panoramic view. Two big trees on the lawn, an olive tree and an apricot tree, provide other pleasant areas of shade.
The holiday home is all on one level and features the following areas:
The living room with fireplace is equipped with 2 sofas, a table and chairs, LCD TV and CD/DVD player. The kitchen is equipped with kitchenware and appliances, kettle, toaster, electric vegetable mill, electric knife, microwave and all other necessary utensils to be able to prepare your meals as if you were at home. Outside you can find a veranda in masonry where you can relax and/or have dinner even during rainy days.
There are two double bedrooms in the Trulli cones with large niches (fitted wardrobes). The third bedroom contains a single bed, a single sofa bed and an built-in wardrobe.
The last bedroom is situated between the sleeping and living area and offers 2 singles beds and a small wardrobe.
There is one bathroom with shower. The second bathroom has a bath tub and is equipped with hairdryer. Both bathroom floors are made of stone.
An external staircase leads to the roof of the building, where you can enjoy spectacular sunsets from the beautiful terrace.
In addition, both from the holiday home and the pergola you can easily keep an eye on any children in the pool.
The spacious garden is equipped with comfortable sun loungers and parasols and next to the pool is a small sitting area with umbrella and masonry chairs.
The trulli are located at the top of the beautiful hills of Ceglie and are surrounded by plants and trees. The large private swimming pool (12x6mt) with 'beach effect' has a maximum depth of 160cm and is very convenient for families with children. The view from the pool and sitting area is spectacular.
The trulli are completely surrounded by dry stoned walls that offer maximum privacy and tranquility.
The holiday home is situated in the peaceful countryside of Ceglie Messapica, far away from busy roads. You can reach the property by the so called 'white streets', the typical country streets of the region. Though the area is very quiet, it is also very near to the town of Ceglie where you can find restaurants, shops and supermarkets.

Puglia is a wonderful area to consider. It offers at least one excellent archeological museum, a host of cathedrals dating back to the 10th century, Greek and Roman ruins, a gleaming necklace of lively fishing villages, one of Europe's largest forests, a chain of medieval hilltowns, and some of the very cleanest beaches and water in the Mediterranean.
The area of Ceglie Messapica is located between the Murge and the Upper Salento: its typical elements include trulli, farms, lamie (typical southern single room square dwellings), rupestrian churches, carsic caves, dolinas, specchie and paretoni (remains of city walls), dry-stone walls, olive groves, vineyards, maquis shrub, ancient oak trees, cattle pastures and arable land.
Numerous archaeological remains of the ancient Messapi civilization were found in Ceglie's area. It had four lines of walls, the inner one having a perimeter of 5 km. The external one had high fortifications known as specchie, which could be up to 20 m and 60 m in diameter.
