Le Pressoir is a detached cottage with rustic charm. You will know that you are in the heart of the country when you wake up to the sound of birdsong and you look out over the orchard to the rolling fields beyond. Suitable for a couple or for a family this gite has a mezzanine bedroom with a double bed and a single bed. It also has a twin bedroom. The downstairs living area is bright and airy with comfortable seating.

Our gites are set in an acre of attractive grounds with an abundance of flowers and fruit. Le Pressoir has it's own private garden area where you can sit out and relax and there are picnic tables where you can enjoy a meal and a glass of local cider. The orchard is a haven for a wide variety of birds in the Spring so bring your binoculars. If you like al fresco cooking there is a barbeque is available for you to use. We have a productive vegetable garden and delicious fresh produce in season is available for guests to buy.

Would your dog like a holiday too? We welcome pets and Le Pressoir is ideal for dog owners. You will enjoy walking along the footpath which leads from the house and through the rolling countryside

The spacious kitchen/lounge with large farmhouse dresser is equipped with all necessary utensils.

Wooden stairs lead up to the mezzanine bedroom with a double bed and which enjoys a lovely view across the countryside. An additional single bed and cot are available.

A second bedroom with two single beds leads off from the mezzanine room.

Further details

An end of stay cleaning charge of 40 euros will be made, however many guests opt to do their own cleaning making a holiday here with us very good value!

Electricity is charged at a rate of 0.18 Euros / kw used.

LInen & Towel hire is 8 Euros / pp

A week is normally Saturday 3pm - Saturday 10am in the HIgh Season. At all other times change-over days are flexible and we always endeavour to meet your requirements

The Basse-Normandie region

Situated in a rural hamlet near the village of St Quentin les Chardonnets, our gites nestle in the heart of the leafy, ‘bocage’ countryside that so typical of this part of Normandy.

Flers

He quaint little town of Tinchebray is just 5 kms away and the bustling market towns of Vire and Flers are within easy reach. There are pleasant walks right on our doorstep and opportunities for fishing, horse riding, kayaking and other leisure activities available locally. For the children there are waterfalls to picnic by, lakes with paddle boats and several zoos are a short drive away. Of course a holiday is not a holiday without a trip to the seaside and lovely sandy beaches can be reached in a little over an hour. Mont St Michel, Bayeux and D-Day beaches are within easy reach. Wide, sandy beaches are just an hour drive away. Take the train from Vire and visit Paris. We are here to help you make the most of your holiday so do let us know if you have particular interests. This beautiful area of France really does have something to please everyone. Don’t forget to sample the local specialities; cheese, cider, calvados and biscuits are all produced nearby!
