B&B | 1 bedrooms | sleeps 2

Key Info
  • Suitable for children over
  • Car not necessary
  • No pets allowed

Your English hosts who have been living in France for many years have created a warm and welcoming Bed & Breakfast environment within their smart but comfortable top floor apartment that they are happy to share with you. As the B&B overlooks an inner courtyard and private gardens, 52 Clichy is an oasis of calm and peace where birdsong is normally the loudest noise you will hear.

Your bedroom can be organised to accommodate either a 2m wide bed with feather mattress or 2 twin beds.

However you wont need to spend too much time in the bedroom because you are encouraged to spend your time in the rest of the apartment, especially the wonderfully sunny terrace (from which breakfast can be provided on warm mornings).

You could also spend the evenings sitting on the comfortable sofas in the living room or out on the terrace after walking around the city.

We are so central, we are an ideal base for walking / visiting all that Paris has to offer.

Another advantage - there are no steps / stairs to the top floor - there is an elevator to the front door of the apartment.

Internal doors are at least 80cms / 31 inches wide so if you need a wheelchair at times the B&B is perfect. (You need to be able to take a couple of steps if you come to the B&B, not completely wheelchair - bound. If you are wheelchair-bound look at my apartment which is completely organised for wheelchair users.)

We are surrounded by theatres and restaurants. In less than 10 minutes walking you can be in Montmartre with the famous Moulin Rouge up to the fabulous Sacré Coeur that dominates the Parisian skyline or you can pop down the road to the Opéra Garnier and the upmarket shopping area of Galéries Lafayette & Printemps.

I am the only B&B reviewed in Frommer's 'Paris Day by Day' travel guide (see photos).

The Paris/Ile de France region

What does anyone need to write about being in Paris!

If you must leave us it is only 45 minutes on a TGV train to Reims and the champagne region, a shorter journey to Giverney to Monet's Gardens or an even shorter train journey to the Chateau de Versailles....

Central Paris

"Left, left and 2nd left" are the directions necessary to arrive at the Moulin Rouge and the base of Montmartre or "straight down the hill" to the Grands Magasins and the Opéra all in less than 10 minutes.

Surounded by restaurants and with 3 theatres on the Rue de Clichy you are close to everything but without being disturbed by the bustle of those quartiers.
