The Lincolnshire region

Martin is a village quietly situated in the Lincolnshire fens area, Lincolnshire being one of the driest counties in the UK.

Convenient for many places of interest and activities for all the family year round.

Woodhall Spa

The cottage is only 5 minutes from the delightful inland victorian resort of Woodhall Spa which is famed for the unique Kinema in the Woods and is home to the National Golf Centre with its' 2 championship courses. It is just a 20 minute drive to the historic city of Lincoln with its' magnificent cathedral and castle. The castle has one of the few original copies of the Magna Carta and the old cobbled part of the city at the top of Steep Hill is a great shopping and sightseeing experience.

If aviation is of interest we are centrally located for many RAF heritage sites including the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and also the marvellous East Kirkby Aviation Centre and their restored Lancaster. Relive the activities of the Dambusters at their original officer's mess too.

The renowned antiques centre and quaint market town of Horncastle is 20 minutes away where the gently rolling hills of the Lincolnshire Wolds also start.

A 40 minute drive will take you to coastal areas such as the lively traditional resort of Skegness or quieter spots like the nature reserve at Gibraltar Point or vast deserted sandy beaches at Huttoft or Sutton on Sea, not forgetting Donna Nook where at certain times of the year you can be almost close enough to touch the seal cubs. Just inland is the centuries old Batemans brewery which you can tour and enjoy good food and savour the many local beverages.

So plenty to do whatever your age or interests.
