Within a few minutes drive is the New Forest including Lyndhurst, the motor museum at Beaulie, Bovington Tank Museum, cycles for hire at Brockenhurst, horses and nature walks.
Dorset has a range of attractions for everyone. Aquarium at Bournemouth beach for the kids, nights out, comedy clubs and bars for the adults and the famous Bournemouth beach.
There are golf courses in the area or you can sit on Bournemouth Pier and watch the world go by.
You can also get a boat ride to the Isle of White from Poole.
Mudeford is a small village on the coast of Dorset, two miles from the Hampshire border. If you turn left from the house, the fishing quay and harbour are only a one minute walk from the house, and provide endless interest. Crab fishing is a popular activity along the quayside and the Haven pub and cafe provide good food with an amazing view.
The ferry to Mudeford Spit takes passengers all day to the beautiful Mudeford Beach which leads to Hengistbury Head and a walk to Christchurch.
If you turn right from the house, you are a one minute walk from Avon Beach with it's beach cafe and beach shop. Walking along the beach you can turn left up towards Highcliffe Castle, walking through the woods along the coastal path.
Christchurch Town (which is a five minute drive or just over half an hour walk) has great facilities and places of interest including the Priory, restaurants, shops, leisure centre with swimming pool and gym.
Bournemouth, only 20 minutes away by car, is also worth a visit during your stay. In addition to the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC), theatres, cinemas, bars, shops and restaurants, the beach is stunning and the town is busy and fun.
