Spiti Angi is a part renovated, part new, Greek style house situated in the sought after Greek village of Kendroma, that sits just above Agni bay on the North East Coast of Corfu.
The house sits on the headland at the end of the village of Kendroma, just above Agni bay, located on the very popular North East coast of Corfu. It enjoys extensive views over the Corfu channel, looking North, with views to the hills, the sea and Kalami bay and East to the Albanian mountains. To the South it looks to Corfu Town, the Greek mainland and the channel.
The house is surrounded on the side and rear of the house by Olive groves. There is a very pretty footpath leading down through the olive grove to the famous Agni bay with it's three very popular, quality tavernas. It is a pretty downhill walk and is suitable for the fit and healthy but not recommended for anyone with walking difficulties.
Being situated in a typical Greek village, the property enjoys a quiet location with Greek neighbours, away from the tourist areas but close enough to enjoy the facilities. Besides the tavernas on Agni beach just below the property, other beaches are within easy reach and the tiny resort of Kalami is closeby with beach tavernas, bars and evening entertainment. Car hire is recommended as most of the shops are quite a distance from the house and there are many other resorts, villages and beaches to visit along this popular coast.
Keen walkers may wish to consider the property without a car as we can arrange delivery of groceries but it would be advisable to discuss this with us before booking.

The region is the North East region of the island of Corfu, which is the most northerly of the seven Ionian islands. The island is very green due to the large amount of rain it has during the winter months, however during the summer months it can be very dry and hot. May, June, September and October are the most comfortable times of the year but with the worlds ever changing climate this can be very changeable.
This particular area of Corfu is a steep hilly area with extensive views over the sea to the Albanian and Greek mountains. This coastal area is made up of small village resorts, with many small coves and beaches with crystal clear waters, good for swimming and snorkeling. The resorts are small and quiet, boats can be hired from most of the bays to explore the coastline and visit the little village resorts with their tavernas on the seafront, where boats can tie up.
The resort of Kalami is about a 5 minute drive away, it has a nice bay for swimming and has bars and beach tavernas with enternainment in the evenings. It is the home of the famous White House where Lawrence Durrell the author lived in the 1930's. His brother Gerald Durrell spent his childhood on Corfu and wrote the famous book 'My Family and Other Animals' which was seralised by the BBC several years ago and more recently a new film was made of the story.
Corfu has many places to visit by car, from varying seaside resorts to mountain villages. These villages and resorts vary enormously from one part of the island to another. Corfu town with its beautiful Ventian style buildings is well worth a visit and has many places of interest. The Liston looks out over the famous cricket pitch and behind is the old town with its maze of tiny streets with many shops varying from designer boutiques to little tourists souvenir shops. Modern cafes, old traditional tavernas, modern restaurants, and fast food places can all be found in the town. From Corfu town a boat goes regularly over to the small island of Vidos, where you will find yourself in another world amongst nature itself. It is well worth a visit day or evening, it has quiet peaceful beaches where you can swim and a lovely taverna where you can have lunch or dinner.
Corfu, like many Greek islands has many festivals during the year that take place at different times in different villages, (you would have to check at the time of your visit for dates of these) visitors are always welcome to these festivities. Easter is the most important and most popular of these festivals and Corfu is known as the 'Easter Island' it attracts many Greeks at this time of year who come to take part in the parades and festivities that take place including the famous 'pot throwing'.
Kendroma where the house is located is an unspoilt, old, quiet and very quaint, sort after, typically Greek village. It is close to the all the tourist facilities but has none itself in the village.
