The Hampshire region

Lymington has a lovely temperate climate due to the protection provided by the Isle of Wight. It has everything you could want with The New Forest and The Solent on the doorstep with numerous attractions!

It's the nearest wilderness to London at around 2 hours' drive. The New Forest National Park is one of the few places left where you can roam and ride freely along with ponies, donkeys, cattle, pigs and deer - no need to stay on paths. It has a wonderful variety of habitats: lowland heaths, open grasslands, streams, ancient woodlands and conifer plantations, with a beautiful coastline. It's a combination you're unlikely to find anywhere else in Western Europe.

The Isle of Wight is another world just half an hour away on the ferry.

Lymington

Lace Cottage is located just three minutes' drive from The New Forest National Park, the sea, Lymington River, Lymington Quay, the Isle of Wight Ferry and Lymington High Street with it's many lovely shops, restaurants and famous Saturday Market.
