La Burague - Glycine is a separate self-contained gite, a part of the Petit Chateau Laburague. The house is located in the village of Cenac and perfectly situated to explore most of the attractions of the Dordogne. Les plux beaux villages de France of Domme, Beynac, La Roque Gageac and others are a five-minute drive from the house.

The medieval village of Sarlat is a ten-minute drive away. All of the shops are within walking distance and the river and beach are on the other side of the village

Gîte Glycine has five bedrooms, each with en suite bathroom. It can host up to10 people (it has 2 double beds and 6 single beds). The bedroom downstairs is wheel chair adapted to host a disabled person.

The confortable lounge, with period furniture and authentic carpets, invites gathering of family/friends to chat, listen to music or watch TV in front of an additional fireplace.

It has a fully equipped modern kitchen and all cooking/dining necessities

The garden has garden furniture, barbeque, and trees to provide shade. The tenants are welcom to enjoy the fruits in season.

The large pool on the property is fully secluded with beautiful views of the countryside and is shared by the two gîtes only. At night the pool is lit from below as well as above. The pool is large (14x6 m.) and shaded

There is no lifeguard on premises and children are not alowed in without parental supervision!

The Aquitaine/Dordogne region

"Périgord Noir" (Black Périgord) surrounding the administrative center of Sarlat, overlooks the valleys of the Vézère and the Dordogne, where the woods of oak and pine give it its name.In addition to its castles, chateaux, churches, bastides and cave fortresses, the Périgord region has preserved from centuries past, a number of wonderful villages which still have their market halls, dovecotes, tories (stone huts), churches, abbeys and castles." Les plus beaux villages" de France of Domme, Beynac, La Roque Gageac are within 10 min. drive from the gite. Numerous castels and bastides along the Dordogne river can be seen and visited.Michael Crichton's novel Timeline is placed in two time periods of Dordogne with Castelnaud as the main site of the plot. The region is famous for its extremely well preserved prehistoric caves with wall paintings up to 40 000 years old. Dordogne is considered to be the capital of culinary pleasures. Tourists from all over the world flock in summer months touring , canoeing, trecking, byking, horse riding, golfing,swimming and simply relaxing in one of the most beautiful parts of the world.

Cenac

Cenac et Saint Julien lies in the center of Perigord Noire along the Dordogne river, in a close proximity to the houses of Domme. The mediaval city of Sarlat Le Caneda- a world heritage- is within 10 min drive from the gite. La roque Gageac and the Chateaux de Beynac,de Castelnaud, de Milandes (of Josephine Baker), de Monfort- are all near by. Prehistoric caves, famous gardens, the village of Rocamadour and all the famous tourist attractions are within an easy driving distance. Day markets and evening markets during the summer are held on specific days of the week in most villages with the famous market os Sarlat held on each Saturday. Bathing in the Dordogne and swimming in the pool on premises is a favourite pastime.

Cenac has a supermarket, book shop, restaurants, boulangerie, pharmacy and doctors.
