The Chalet is spacious and more than suitable for two or three families sharing situated in the Pyrenees national park, between Campan and the Col du Tormalet, one of the most famous climbs on the Tour de France. The local area offers walking, cycling (on and off road) rock climbing, fishing and all the usual mountain pursuits. The closest village, Sainte Marie de Campan, has several restaurants and a good local shop.

It provides an ideal base for touring, walking or simply lazing around, the nearest market town has a weekly (Saturday)

Market that Rick Stein would love and our kitchen is ideal for practising your culinary skill with the local produce.

The Midi-Pyrenees region

The Campan Valley is part of the Pyreneen National Park, The Col du Tormalet, in the middle of the local ski area has been on the Tour de France route since 1910 and most weekends there is something going on in the surrounding villages. Everything from hang gliding to white water rafting is available localy throughout the summer and the ski resort of La Mongie, just 10k up the hill is the largest in the French Pyrenees.

Bagneres-de-Bigorre

The Pyrenees provide ample mountain activities such cycling, walking, fishing, canoeing, hang gliding, parascending, golf. Lourdes is 30mins away by car and nearest town, Bangneres de Bigorre has an awsome market every Saturday and a spa/thermal centre and casino. Visit the magnificent view point of the Pic du Midi at 2877m above sea level and watch vultures catching the thermals.
