Ben My Chree Self Catering Beach Holiday Cottage is centred on the promenade in the historic seaside city and fishing port of Peel in the Isle of Man, and offers spectacular panoramic views over the Irish Sea to the Scottish and Irish coastlines. Seals, and basking sharks can be seen swimming and gannets diving, right outside the cottage, which is completely unique to Ben My Chree Beach Holiday Cottage.

The sound of the sea can be heard from the garden at the rear of the cottage, where there is a magical mural completely surrounding the patio, painted by a local artist, to reflect the view at the front.

This original Manx fisherman's cottage has free Wi Fi. Downstairs comprises a large living room with separate dining area and fully fitted kitchen opening onto a rear patio area where there is a hand-painted mural of the view from the front of the cottage, painted by a local artist, Barbara Barker..

All are welcome, whether walkers, cyclists, motor cyclists, golfers all those visiting to see the rally cars and the many special boat weekends and carnivals in Peel Sunset City. This comfortable cottage is easily accessible from the airport and sea terminal, either by bus or taxi. Very central for exploring the whole island! Regular bus services to and from Peel reach Ramsey & Douglas for the Victorian electric trams to the mountain; Kirk Michael, Castletown, Port Erin, Port St Mary, The Sound and Calf of Man etc.

The cottage is fully equipped with 42 inch plasma colour television and DVD player. Bed linen and towels are provided (please bring your own beach towels & bath sheets). A washing machine is provided. There is gas central heating with a combi boiler for instant hot water. Sorry, pets are not allowed and the cottage is non-smoking.

There is a public swimming pool in Peel, which is newly built and it is just a couple of minutes drive from the cottage. Five minutes walk. You can check it out on the Internet to see what courses, like water aerobics, that they have.

Ben My Chree Beach Holiday Cottage is nestled in the centre of the conservation area of the City of Old Peel, with its superb cathedral, places to eat with a good choice of beach and harbour restaurants, lively pubs and bars. Local shops and supermarket are "just round the corner". Bikes can be hired easily, and boats can be taken from the harbour for a trip to fish, or view the wildlife like the sharks, seals and various types of sea birds around Peel.

You can be driven round the island on a motorbike which holds two passengers.

The beautiful new marina, bustling harbour, ancient castle with a wonderful walkway alll the way around the outside ending at the harbour kiosk are close by. There is another sandy beach with rocks upon which the castle is built, and you can walk up the steps cut into the rock to get to the walkway around the castle. This is completely free. You will see kayakers, coast orienteering, and snorkellers operating from this splendid sandy beach.

You can hire boats to take you out to see the wonderful wildlife around the back of the castle, including various sea birds, seals, and basking sharks and it is magical!

The seafront position is perfect for admiring the striking Peel sunsets and is ideally situated as a base to explore this attractive island.

And best of all – the cottage is on the promenade and right by the fantastic sandy beach!

The most Manx town on the Isle of Man. Here fishing thrives with a busy harbour. Loads of places to walk and scenery to enjoy. Lovely beach side town with many local shops of interest.

Peel sits on the west coast of the island, is the only city on the Isle of Man, and has the island's cathedral. It is here visitors will find a variety of interests, including a large ruin castle from 1392. Fishing has a long history in Peel as it once was the island's main fishing port. To this day the harbour can be seen filled with boats of the fishing trade. It is here that Herring is cured to make the famous Manx kippers.

Known as Manx town of the Island, Peel, offers many local shops and brilliant restaurants. There is an old style feel to the place with many narrow streets and small houses near the coast. There are two beautiful sandy beaches and a perfect promenade which is sheltered by hills and St Patrick's Isle. In the evening a stunning sunset can be seen, which is why Peel is also known as the Sunset City.

The picturesque City of Peel offers a variety of walks and is rich in history with a state of the art Heritage Centre and ancient castle. Seal and shark boat trips depart nearby and the cottage is within 5 minutes walk of a selection of unique museums, good restaurants and pubs. There are two lovely sandy beaches, one with a large cave to explore at low tide!
