This villa is situated within a large pretty garden less than 300m by track from the sandy Argaka beach, the sea and the coast road. It has a large 10m x 5m private swimming pool. Secluded poolside has panoramic sea views.

We are pleased to offer lower 2 person rates here and on other villas.

The large balconies upstairs provide wonderful views to the sea.

This beautiful fully air conditioned villa with large 10m x 5m private swimming pool, is well positioned for poolside privacy. It benefits from a secluded and private poolside and pool, not overlooked The villa is not isolated, but tucked away on the hillside in a cluster of villas, just 300m from long undeveloped sandy beach at Argaka. It has breath-taking uninterrupted sea views overlooking orchards down to the beach, and as far as the eye can see to Polis. The poolside enjoys many hours of sunshine for you to recharge your batteries, followed by a sunset into the sea in front.

A selection of shops and tavernas can be found a short distance away along the flat coast road, starting with the Santa Barbara restaurant and Lisa's Place at approx. 300m by track.

Argaka village is tucked behind the villa, and has a well stocked supermarket. Quaint Polis Town, a wonderful mix of old and new, is a little further on, and can provide you with a fantastic selection of shops, restaurants, bars, banks and a pretty pedestrianised centre. Latchi with its pretty harbour and fish tavernas is just 2km further, and you can walk there along beach path from Polis camping beach, recognizable by the tall eucalyptus trees.

There is a bus stopping nearby on the coast road, and it goes into Polis. Day pass 3 Euro. We recommend car hire due to the heat.

The friendly owners have succeeded in making this property a “home from home” with quality furnishings.

There is a selection of tavernas within easy walking distance along the flat coast road, starting with the popular Liza's Place and Agia Varvara 5 mins walk, (children love the menagerie at Liza's) and Liza is happy to cook “off menu” food, just ask. Agia Varvara-Santa Barbara restaurant on the sandy beach offer sunloungers on the beach too.

The villa is ideal for couples and families alike.

General reviews:

Hi Irene,

We are back from our holidays. Villa was great. Spacious, very well equipped, big pool, big garden, 50m to the warm sea – what else shall we need for a great vacations?! Thank you for your help. We`ll definitely recommend this way of holiday accommodation to our friends.

Best regards

Hello Irene

Well where do I start!!

Argaka Sand was lovely and of such a high standard. One thing I would point out was they supplied a pool table which was great entertainment for the evenings and lazy/rainy days in. I would like to advise maybe this could be something all villas are supplied with as most holiday makers have the odd couple of evenings in and weather is not always reliable early in the year. Note from Irene, all 4 Argaka Beach Villas have pool table/table tennis. The owner was lovely and his wife baked us a cake which was totally unexpected and the children enjoyed immensely. All in all I could not fault the villa in any way....

In short it was the best holiday we ever had and we plan to go back this summer if finances allow us. I will always use Sundance Villas, and Nicole I will always be indebted to, as she made the finishing touches to my wedding perfect.

Once again from the bottom of my heart thank you for all the help I received from Nicole and Sundance Villas for making our wedding perfect.

Kindest Regards

Gareth and Lucy. Repeat clients Easter 2012

Hi Irene

Thanks very much for organising the extended day at Argaka.

We really enjoyed it there and would say we have never stayed in a cleaner villa.

We would certainly recommend it.

Kind regards

Irene,

I apologise. It is long overdue. We were very pleased with the villa. Rooms are of right size and well equipped. This is a convenient place for car-renting, peace-loving tourists. It is 5 km form Polis so very few people come to the beach (80 metres from the villa) and shopping is easy and convenient with well-supplied supermarket in town.

We specially recommend the place for families with small kids. The paddling poolwas THE beloved place for our 3yr old grandson - a safe place for various water games (do not forget to buy a light-weight fishing net!). There was a nice toy box provided by the landlord and a small, but still nice playground just in front of the villa.

The nearby beach is a mix of dark sand and pebbles. A committed grandfather is able to clean a 2 sqr meters area of pebbles and create a great place for sandcastle works.

For grown-ups a true treat: a reliable Wi-Fi giving unlimited access to the Internet

Please note that the early September weather in Cyprus is just great, see is warm, the sunlight last from 7am till 8pm, evenings are nicely warm.

Best regards

Hi Irene,

We had a wonderful holiday at the Argaka Beach villa. The villa was superb, immaculately clean and had everything that we could possibly need. The welcome pack was a godsend as did not have a car initially. The swimming pool was a great size and the kids (and ourselves) used it every day. Great fun! The pool table/ table tennis table was also a hit with the kids. We appreciated the information folder provided and tried a few of the recommended restaurants – the Baths of Aphrodite taverna was a particular highlight with its fabulous views of the Chrysochou Bay and very good value fish meze, (so much food)! We must also mention one of the local restaurants to the villa – the Santa Barbara. The waiters were particularly friendly and the food consistently good. The fact that the taverna is right on the beach and you can sit watching the sun sinking below the horizon whilst sipping a glass of wine, and be within walking distance to the villa was fantastic!

We would have no hesitation in recommending Sundance Villas to anybody. The representative in Cyprus, Tanya, was polite, efficient and friendly and helped us get out of a sticky patch when we were let down by our car hire company, arranging for a local company to deliver a suitable vehicle ASAP.

Thanks so much to all at Sundance for ensuring that our holiday went as smoothly as possible,

Kindest regards,

Nicola, Andrew, George and Charlotte S

Hello Irene

On behalf of all of us I'd like to say thank you for a wonderful holiday in Cyprus.

Apart from our 6 hour delay at Manchester which resulted in losing half a day in Cyprus, we cannot fault our holiday. The communication between Tanya (Rep) and also Cy Breeze was brilliant. We picked up the car with no problems at all. When we arrived at our villa it was very late and dark. Excellent directions!

The villa was perfect, the rooms, the pool etc. were immaculate. We were able to walk to Liza's Place and Saint Barbara Tavernas. Our 2 girls were very taken with Liza's father and bought him a small gift on our last night. He appeared genuinely pleased and wouldn't let them go without lots of sweets! The Greek dancing in Polis was great fun!

The area was beautiful but you need a car to appreciate it fully. It is perfect for families who would be mainly based at the villa due to the distance to a lot of the areas/attractions.....the beach being in its natural state (we assumed for the turtles)... the sea was amazingly warm there.

We would definitely recommend the boat hire at Latchi, you need at least 4 hrs to fully appreciate it and I was grateful that my partner knew a little about boats! There was a lot to take in at the briefing.

We would absolutely use Sundance Villas in the future. Everything from the booking process, emails, questions answered, reps, villa owner and Cy Breeze made our holiday what it was..Perfect!

Many thanks Irene

Hi Irene

Sundance Villas Review Rating : 5/5

The villa more than exceeded our expectations, it has a lovely size pool, and the quality of the fittings were superb. Bedrooms were good size with good quality furniture and the ensuite bathrooms excellent. The upstairs bedrooms have french doors onto lovely balcony which has great views and makes a lovely quiet sitting area. Lovely lounge/dining/kitchen areas. We made good use of the BBQ, pool and outside eating areas. Nearby there are 2 local tavernas, very friendly owners particularly good with children and nearby Polis has many restaurants and bars to choose from. We enjoyed taking a stroll along the beach at Latchi and watching the sun go down from one of the beach bars. This was our first time in Cyprus and we shall definately go back. We were a mixed age group 57+, 30+ and child and we all enjoyed this holiday and villa. Highly recommend. If you want a livelier location Paphos itself is approx 40 mins drive. This was our first time in Cyprus and we enjoyed it so much we will definately be returning and we would like to return to the Argaka Beach.

Once again many thanks for your assistance

best regards

Dear Irene

We have just returned from a lovely easy going week in villa Argaka Sand. Everything was great from arrival, car hire, the villa itself etc etc

We contacted Nicole on arrival and we let her know we did not need an "arrival visit". She did pop in later in the week as she was coming over to Polis.

From both our brief meeting with her and her speedy and pleasant response to our initial text we had every confidence that if we had had any issues she would sort them out in a very efficient matter.

Thanks again

Regards Jo Ryman

Dear Irene,

We had a wonderful stay at the Argaka villa, the house had everything we needed and more.

We especially enjoyed the pool, the pool-table and the nice terrace/ balcony.

The food hamper was there and it was nice not to have to go out finding a supermarket straight after we arrived.

Of Cyprus we best liked the Aphrodite trail - at this time of the year it was wonderful to see all the spring plants.

We also liked Lefkosia, especially the northern part with nice garden restaurants.

Nicole was very nice and helpful, she sent us an SMS with a tour offering, we couldn't go but it sounded nice.

Our landlord was also very nice and helpful.

Thank you very much!

Have a nice week - kind regards - Tanja Strecker-von Kannen

Hi Irene

I would just like to mention what a fabulous time my mum and I had whilst staying at Argaka Sands. This is my 4th time I've been to Argaka for my holiday over the past 5 years and this villa, by far, beats them all! The villa was beautiful and of a luxury standard, everything was brand new just as you said it would be. We had such a lovely time that my mum wants to return next year as this was her 1st time to Cyprus and was so impressed.

We ate several times at Saint Barbara (Ayia Varvara), a taverna on the beach, and it's only a few minutes walk from the villa. The food is outstanding and very reasonable. The fillet steak was so tender and the sea bass is so fresh and cooked perfectly. Would recommend this place to everyone!

Once again thanks very much for the rental of the villa

The Paphos region

Polis is situated to the North West of Cyprus. The Akamas Peninsula lies to the West and it is a 30 minute drive from Paphos.

Polis caters well for independent travellers and is well known for its nature, and those keen on active holidays including cycling, hiking, horse riding, scuba diving and golf.

Polis is rich in history, dating back 3000 years. It was built on the ancient cities of Marion-Arsinoe. Over the past 20 years many artefacts have been unearthed including statues, jewellery and decorated pottery which is displayed in the local museum which opened in 1998.

The Akamas peninsula nearby covers about 230 square km and is located on the western tip of Cyprus. Protected as an area of outstanding natural beauty, it is the perfect location to enjoy outdoor activities such as cycling and hiking.

A major characteristic of this peninsula is its beaches. Akamas is the only large unspoiled coastal area remaining in Cyprus.

The Baths of Aphrodite are just along the coast from Latchi. According to myth, the goddess Aphrodite used to bathe in the pool of the nearby grotto which is shaded by a fig tree and has a continuous run of water from the overhead rocks. The baths are considered a source of fertility, and even now young Cypriot women go there early to avoid the guard, to bathe in the water.

Polis caters well for independent travellers and is well known for its nature, and those keen on active holidays including cycling, hiking, horse riding, scuba diving and golf.

A stunning unspoilt resort, dotted with citrus groves and beautiful turquoise waters, it is the least developed beach resort in the South of Cyprus. Varied landscapes are to be found here including rocky mountains, meadows and forests. Polis faces across Chrysochou Bay to the Akamas Peninsula where many hiking trails can be found.

The town is partly pedestrianised and has a laid back feel to it. You can find international food as well as excellent traditional tavernas, (we will send you information on Eating Out etc).

The local beach is at Polis Chrysochous Camp site, the only location in Cyprus where a eucalyptus forest meets the coast. The sandy beach is about half a mile walk into the town of Polis or alternatively there is a flat coastal walk way to the neighbouring resort of Latchi.

Facilities at the beach include showers, toilets, washing facilities, beach volley ball court and a snack bar.

Latchi is a picturesque fishing village which stretches 3km along the North West coast of the Island and lies on the edge of the beautiful Akamas National Park. The pretty harbour offers a number of excellent fresh fish tavernas that have turned out to be famous across the Island.

The coastal road separates the clear blue sea, pretty shoreline and local amenities from the surrounding lush green countryside. At the harbour, sit back and enjoy a seafood meal in one of the harbour side tavernas and watch the boats come and go.

There are several beaches in Latchi which are perfect for swimming. They are covered with fine sand. Sunbeds and parasols are available to hire.

Latchi is the perfect resort for water sports as it has such clean sea water. You will find windsurfing, snorkelling, scuba diving, surfing, water-skiing, jet-skiing, parasailing, sailing and fishing here. There are also plenty of boat trips to choose from. Latchi is home to beautiful scenery and nature, making it perfect for trekking and there are plenty of organised nature walks for you to enjoy.

APHRODITE TRAIL

The Aphrodite trail is considered one of the most beautiful walks in Cyprus, stretching 8km along the Akamas. The Akamas, an unspoilt stretch of coastline is an area of outstanding natural beauty and has been protected as such. The trail follows the route described in Greek mythology used by Aphrodite and her lover Adonis.

The trail begins at the Baths of Aphrodite which is a very popular tourist spot on the island. (The Baths of Aphrodite Fish Tavern here is a favourite with our clients.) From here the route ascends towards the 860 year old ancient oak tree, believed to be Aphrodite mythical lovers’ nest. Other highlights of the trail include stunning views of the blue lagoons from the high point at Moutti tis Sotiras. We highly recommend the boat trip from Latchi to see all of this, (especially if it is too hot to walk) it is stunningly beautiful and you get the change to swim in the clear turquoise sea too!

In Spring time you can expect to see colourful displays of wild flowers, although you are forbidden to pick them. There are many shrubs such as carob, olives, strawberry trees and mastic. Your senses will also be treated to a heady cocktail of scents such as wild thyme, rosemary, pine and juniper berries.

This trail gives you a true sense of hiking in an unspoilt paradise. On the way back you can stop and buy brightly coloured dragon fruit. (No sign, just look for the fruit and stop).

Trail maps can be obtained from the tourist information office in Polis.
