The Sicily region

Sicily is the largest Island in the Mediterranean. A rugged terrain with olive and orange groves and beautiful fields of vines. It is also the most invaded Island and has a rich and diverse history. Our villa is close to the Valley of the Temples with three beautiful Greek/Roman temples. 12 miles from the rich golden sands perfect for the family. The food is renowned and eating out is a joy. The climate is warm and sunny most of the year but can be very cold Feburary and March. There are many interesting festivals in the region and though quite a drive Mount Etna is breath taking and offers limited Skiing.

There is a Roman Villa which has the most complete mosaics called Piazza Armerina near Sagesta. There is a Go Karting arena north of the Villa near Ericlea Minoa also there is a Greek Ampitheatre at Ericlea. Two minutes from the Villa is a Large shopping Mall. So although secluded it is well placed to suit everyone's needs.
