Attractions away from Biot include:
Antibe (15mins drive), Nice (30mins), Cannes (30mins) all have wonderful marinas you can see how the other half live, boats owned by the rich and famous are valued over 75 million pounds in Antibe marina, but looking is free! Sandy beaches, churches, museums, markets, shops as well as plenty of bars, cafes and excellent restaurants. There are wonderful boat trips from most of the resorts in this area. In May there is the Canne Film Festival wonderful atmosphere in Canne just to walk along the beach and also in the town. Also the Grand Prix in Monte Carlo is a great event, you can take the train from Biot Station, approximately 45 minutes, or use the excellent bus service all fares are 1 euro!.
Marineland is just down the road about 15 minute walk, it is the most popular tourist attraction in the area idea for families with waterpark mini golf etc etc. you can get a ticket for the day.
Just behind Nice are the villages of Eze, St. Paul-Vence and Cagnes sur Mer which lie high in the hills with cobbled streets and breathtaking views.
Further afield you will find Monte Carlo and Italy which can both be reached in an hour by car, you can also go by double decker train as it glides its way along the Cote d'Azur. There is a local bus that goes from Antibe to Biot and the main bus (comfortable coaches here) the bus stop is at Biot station, the fare is just 1 euro and the ticket last for 1 hour, so you can get off the bus and on to another with the same ticket if under 1 hour.
Another idea is a day-trip to the Gorges of Verdon - if you have the stomach for it! winding roads where the views are truly spectacular, I believe they are the largest Gorges in Europe with a beach and wonderful lake. I would suggest taking your own lunch and drinks there were no cafes the last time I was there. You can hire kayaks and go off on your own little adventure!
Do not forget that the Cannes Film Festival is in May, also the Grand Prix in Monte Carlo, which can be reached by train and bus, think it may be a bit busy on the roads to take the car, it is adviseable to use public transport.
The village of Biot is on top of the hill, just a five minute drive from the camp site or a lovely walk where you can stop on the way for refreshments. It has little cobbled streets as well as a museum, church and shops, a wide choice of excellent restaurants, bars and cafes surround the square. There is a weekly farmer's market where you can sample the local produce. Do go to the viewing points and look at the panoramic views towards the mediterranean. On the way up to Biot village you will pass the glass factory, very famous locally and watch glass blowing, there is also an exhibition hall with exhibits from all over the world, they are both free. Marineland in Biot is one of the biggest attractions in the Cote d'Azur and is just a 5 minute drive. It is fabulous for children and adults and will keep you entertained all day. Biot also has a golf course and it is just a 5 minute drive from the camp site.
Antibes is a 15 minute drive away or hop on the local bus and it will take you to the centre, the bus stop is outside the camp site. There is an excellent market there every Thursday. Restaurants and cafes are to numerous to mention with a wonderful atmosphere day and night. Do go down to the Marina and look at the wonderful boats 75 million pounds!! - like ferries but free to look at, they are situated at the back of the marina. Also in the centre is the Picasso Museum which looks over the mediterranean, beautiful. The many narrow streets are home to a hugh selection of shops and cafes. Take a journey on petit train approximate 45 minutes the children (and adults) love it.
Bus service is excellent all fares are 1 euro and I believe the ticket will last you a hour so can change buses and use same ticket if under a hour.
