Our property is a newly refurbished home and offers you a home from home welcome It is set in the heart of the Aquitaine and is very close to the Dordogne border. Our property is the ideal place if you want to experience real traditional france. You have all the famous rivers near by such as : Lot Garonne,Dordogne,and Baise and many more for all your boating, watersports and lovely walks. You have many bastid towns to explore and picturesque towns such as Agen and Bergerac. There is a theme park called Walibi an 1h 30 mins away near Agen. The nearest beach is called Le Porge is a beautiful unspoilt beach great for a day out.There are also many man made beaches along the rivers which also offer swimming, canoes, and pedaloes and lots of other things to do. Not to mention the wine tasting thats a must do You wont get bored!

Our property comprises of

Large Living room with oil filled radiator, Log burner stove, Sofas, Coffee table, lamp, Satellite Tv, IPod docking Station.dvd player, toys, books and dvd's, Internet is availiable on request at time of booking for a small fee of £10 a week.

Kitchen/ Diner: Fully fitted with Washing Machine, Dishwasher, Electric Ceramic Hob, Electric Oven, Cooker hood, Fridge Freezer, Microwave, Toaster, Kettle,Pots, Pans, Dinnerware, Tea towels.

Upstairs: 2 twin bedrooms with bedside tables and lamps and chairs, beds can be pushed together to make double if required, 1 large double room with King size bed and room for a cot, wardrobe, chest of draws,bedside tables and lamp & on- suite wash room.1 bathroom with shower and towel rail, toilet and sink.

Bedlinen and towels provided.

Outside: Private Courtyard part covered Terrace and part open, Brick BBQ, Large dining table and Chairs, Wood Shed. Backing on to old peignoir and garage with a games table: pool, table tennis, air hockey, chess, poker and a table football & darts board. Also a swing for the little ones.

There is a public swimming pool in the town within walking distance. It's mainly open in the height of the season. Opening hours are between 2:30 pm and 7:30 pm. Local minimal charges apply. Piscine is locally sign posted.

Parking can be found outside the house parking is permitted between 6pm and 9 am with a free 1hour during the day. So you can park between 6pm and 10am if you choose. Then you can park here between 12-2pm. Also other public parking is available is at the end of street. There is also a parking permit provided to give you an 1hour 30 mins extra parking free a day. Which covers then nearly all day.

The Aquitaine/Dordogne region

Here in the South East we are assured of some lovely nice long hot summer months. You are in the heart of the Aquitaine which has everything to offer such as the famous Dordogne River which you can see when you visit the town of Bergerac which is only 40 min drive from the house.

You can also visit the chateaux at Lauzun and if you like fishing you can fish here and also a little closer to the home you have Lac Du Saut Du Loup which is another fab fishing lake and where you and loved ones can enjoy a relaxing stroll around the large lake: play a little tennis or maybe just a kick about with the ball.There is a great man made beach about 30mins away that is fab for famillies it has water sports and boats and slides with a lovely beach there is lots to do and has great reviews.

Then you can visit some of the bastides towns such as Castillones, Emyet and Marmande where if you are a keen golfer they also offer a golf course.

If you travel further down the to the Le Lot and Castelmoron sur Lot here you can find water sports and cycling swimming and much more along the River Lot. There is also Agen a very picturesque place with the canals flowing through it and you can go on a barge down the canels or you can hit some of the french shops for an afternoon shopping spree.


There is always something going on locally there is so much to see and do for all ages. Here in Miramont they have regular Markets on a Monday morning where you get a real feel for the tradition and during July and August there is a little farmers markets on a friday as well. Then if you fancy a cool down visit the local swimming pool in Miramont.The local medieval town lauzun have their traditional market on a saturday morning and in the local bastid town of Emyet you have another market on a Sunday morning during July and August and on a Thursday morning other times of the year. You may have heard of Emyet as it was recently featured on a ITV programme 'little England' . Emyet also have the night time markets which are must do in the summer evenings.There are many events that happen in the traditional bastid towns so why not pop into Miramont's local tourist office to find out more.

Here in Miramont about the 3rd — 5th August we hold an event called the 'basted art festival' which is the festival of street arts. We also hold horse racing on the 15th august, also village festivities - Meal,dance and fireworks display, not to missed and just a stroll down the road from the house.

Then you can explore the Dordogne where it offers some of the finest wine, it has an abundance of vineyards and hosts the popular Monbazillac region of sweet wine and much more.
