The the region is also known for its good food (including great fish and shellfish). Spicy sweet dishes, plenty of great beers to sample... Gourmet stops with cheeses, juniper brandy, salt meats, confectionery, waffles,...

Our house is right in the centre of the village. The local restaurant, La Planquette, is 2 minutes walk away but sadly closed for the moment. The local cafe is a 5 minute walk up the road. On summer nights, a second cafe opens 5 minutes walk from our house, specialising in regional beers and wooden bar games.

We are also 2 minutes walk from the river which boasts riverside walks in both directions. Two minutes up the hil is a lovely old church and there are plenty of intersting walks to nearyby villages.

If you are interested in horses, the village has a horse rescue farm where children and adults can horse ride.

The local trout farm, a 15 minute walk away, allows you to cook fish fresh from the water.

Neighbouring villages offer bakeries, a wine cave and tourist attractions such as botanical gardens and an old castle.

The town of Hesdin, a 10 minute drive away, has a traditional main square which hosts a market on Thursday morning, plenty of traditional bars and cafes as well as large super and hyper markets. It has also a new indoor/outdoor swimming pool and small bowling alley.
