The Andalucia region

=== Costa Del Sol ===

The Costa del Sol stretches along 150 kilometres of Málaga province and is one of Spain's most popular tourist destinations. The area's mild climate is the root attraction that makes it possible to enjoy the beaches and a wide variety of outdoor activities all year round. With the Costa del Sol weather giving average annual temperatures of 18ºC and over 300 days of sunshine per year it isn't difficult to understand why it is one of Europe's top holiday destinations.

There are around 70 Costa del Sol golf courses on the "Costa del Golf" which can be played all year round as well as a whole range of other activities available such as sailing, scuba diving, horse riding, dolphin safaris, etc. For families there are theme parks, including water parks; go-karting; safari parks and many beautiful public gardens. For younger visitors the main areas of attraction are Benalmadena's Puerto Marina & '24 hour square' and Marbella's Puerto Banus. Both are very trendy and chic, but be warned the bars and clubs don't get busy until near midnight and stay open till dawn.

=== Malaga ===

Birthplace of Picasso, the attractive, cosmopolitan city of Malaga lies on a beautiful sweep of bay in Andalucia. Blessed with sunshine and a spectacular quality of light, Malaga is a city of wide boulevards, swaying palm trees, lively nightlife, good museums and excellent seafood restaurants.

Malaga is a very historical town, evident from the number of historical monuments and buildings that you cannot fail to notice. Malaga’s cathedral; known as La Manquita, meaning “the little one armed lady” is an example of the excellent architecture on show. There are also 15th century forts, a grand town hall and a wondrous museum. A great way to soak in the history is to take a ride on the open-top bus, which runs regularly.

La Cala de Mijas

La Cala de Mijas is a village blessed with long beaches with soft golden sand. It has a rich choice of International cuisine on offer, ranging from simple eats to expensive culinary delights. If you have children with you, they will love the theme park - Tivoli World; the Fuengirola Zoo; Sea Life and then of course the wonderful beaches and splash parks.

For the "big kids" there is Marbella Casino, The Hipodromo and all sorts of outdoor sports including:

**Tennis courts

**Bowling greens

**Gyms

**Diving Centres

**Horseriding
