In the large kitchen-diner you should find everything that you could need including a duel fuel stainless steel range, american fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and a large selection of cooking utensils, crockery, glasses etc. The dining table makes this a great place to relax whilst sharing the cooking duties. There is a log burning stove to warm up in front of in the winter months.

Lounge (34sq.m):

The spacious lounge is a perfect retreat from the hot midday sun, relax on one of 3 three seater settees with a book or watch UK television or a DVD. First Floor:

Upstairs there are three large bedrooms comprising of one twin, one double and one queen size. Downstairs there is a further double bedroom which is ideal for less mobile guests who prefer not to use the stairs.


Both bathrooms have been finished to an exceptionally high standard. In the downstairs shower room there is large walk in shower and toilet. The washing machine is also located here. Upstairs there is a family bathroom with toilet and bath with an over head shower.


There is a large secluded decked and swimming pool. Guests can admire the views whilst cooling off in the pool or relaxing in the sun. There is a BBQ and table and chairs providing an ideal space for alfresco dining.

The Languedoc-Roussillon region

The Aude area is full of places to visit & things to do to suit everyone.

The numerous Cathar castles & chateaus, Montsegur, Peyrepertuse, Queribus & Rennes les Chateau to name a few can be found whilst driving through the Pays Corbieres-Minervois and foothills of the Pyrenees. Enjoy the stunning scenery and why not stop to sample the local food & wines.

Lac de Cavayere (Carcassonne Plage) a 30 min drive away, offers beaches to relax on or for the active, water sports (not motorised), beautiful walks around the lake and an acropark where you can swing/slide through the trees.

If you prefer to take a dip in the sea the beaches of the Mediterranean are approx. 1hr 15mins. drive away.

Andorra with it's ski resorts and duty free shopping is just 1hr 30 mins drive away.


The village of Alaigne, 3kms away, offers a bar/cafe. Belveze du Razes, 5kms, has a bank, bar, restaurant, pharmacy, butcher, baker and a small supermarket. In Limoux, 11kms, there is a larger selection of shops, bars, restaurants & larger supermarkets. etc.

The towns of Limoux and Mirepoix have markets on Fridays and Mondays respectively and are rich with local specialities, there are also a number of other markets in the area. Limoux is also renowned for its Blanquette and Cremant made locally.

The town of Carcassonne and the walled medieval 'La Cite' steeped in history, is just 30 minutes away.

There are many activities and things to do in the area, kayaking, white water rafting, golf, horse riding, walking and not fogetting eating and drinking. There are numerous restaurants within 15 minutes drive, Maison Gayda, La Rol, Akottee to name a few.
