Conveniently located in the heart of Provence, between Saint Remy and Avignon, the historic grand estate of the Moulin de la Roque is the perfect place to relax and enjoy all that Provence offers with whole family or good friends. Completely secluded, the Moulin is a stunning 12 acre estate accessible only by two private drives-one shaded by century old plane trees, the other by a beautiful flowing river. We are only a 5-10 minute walk into the quaint village of Noves where you can find several nice bakeries and anything else you may need to enjoy your Provencal meals prepared in your fully equipped kitchen and enjoyed on your private stone terrace with barbecue.
As the estate is very large with spacious grounds, you have your own private mas (provencal farmhouse) as there is plenty of privacy between each house and each house enjoys their own very private terrace and grounds. A large gated and secured swimming pool will refresh you each afternoon as you return from touring the area and there are plenty of games to entertain both adults and children such as trampolines, badmitton, Provencal ball game court (Pétanque), table tennis and foosball. Take a sunset walk in the 150 hectare forest that adjoins the property for stunning views of Les Alpilles and Mt. Ventoux, or just to collect wild rosemary or thyme for your dinner.
La Bergerie, one of the oldest buildings on the estate, has beautiful views of the grand lawn and the spacious grounds from your private Wisteria. In accordance with the history of the estate, it has been restored with taste, charm, keeping the precious old world beauty but adding modern conveniences, kitchen and baths.
This is the estate is perfect for families with children as we have two trampolines, badminton, peétanque, swimming pool and game room with table tennis and foosball. It is also very nice for couples or friends sharing a vacation with a large shaded and sunny swimming pool, 150 hectares of walking trails through the adjacent forest and a relaxing and beautifully maintained estate for relaxing with a nice bottle of french wine after a long day of touring the area.
We are also a 10 minute walk into the quaint village of Noves for groceries, your baguette or a café.

La Bergerie is a charming farmhouse, once a barn for the sheep, now a tastefully renovated, comfortable and pleasing house where you will enjoy to spend hours under your Wisteria covered private terrace enjoying the nice views of the grand lawn and estate.
The house itself retains all the old world charm of buildings in its century with a very unique stone arched chimney, beamed ceilings, lots of light, fresh provencal fabrics and nice antiques.
Themodern kitchen, eating area with antique oak table from Baron Fallon's family and salon with comfortable sectional sofa, are open and convivial and lead to your stone Wisteria covered terrace with teak table, chairs and stone integrated barbecue.
The ample sized bedrooms, again decorated with taste, simplicity with crisp provencal fabrics and antiques, are located on the second floor and include one ensuite bath (shower and sink) and a second complete bath with bath/shower. There are two separate toilet rooms, one on each floor. Each bedroom can be king size bed or twin depending on your preference.
You will love this house and want to come back year after year as many of our guests do. Please read our reviews of the estate and La Bergerie on Trip Advisor (Le Moulin de la Roque, Noves or La Bergerie, Moulin de la Roque, Noves).

The grounds are magnificent. In addition to the chateau-like atmosphere of the buildings themselves (the manor house, the mill and the surrounding buildings) you will also feel as if you are on your own private estate in your individual farmhouse or mas. The Wysteria covered terraces, the palms, century old olive tree, lavender and other flowers provide beauty and shade. The grand lawn makes not only for a stunning view but also a place where children can run and play in security without disturbing other guests.
The estate is secured by two gates, a river and a forest and you will see no roads or other industrial sites from your house.;nothing but nature. A large cliff jutting from the forest hovers over the property creating an impressive ambiance and backdrop for the estate. You will enjoy the expansive pool with plenty of space for relaxing both in the shade and sun or playing games in the cabana. The children will enjoy the two trampolines located near the pool and the badminton court just adjacent. Taking leisurely strolls along the river, in the forest or to the village will be a pleasure each day. The Moulin is very unique. A magical place that you will never forget and want always to return.
During our season (April through October,) we rent from Saturday to Saturday with a one week minimum. Included in your rental are all your bed (king or twin, your choice), bath and kitchen linens, coffee, sugar and filters to start, paper products to start, and dish and laundry soap throughout your stay.
When you arrive, you will have nice bottle of wine waiting for you and plenty of information on touring the area. We will greet you warmly and provide whatever you may need to make your holidays relaxing and memorable.
