The Phuket region

Phuket is a world-class destination, famous for its beautiful beaches in the south of Thailand. From Phuket you also have easy access to nearby islands. Phuket has a tropical climate with warm weather all year with April and May being the hottest months. Normally from June the weather gets more cloudy with scattered rain showers which normally only lasts a short while. September and October you will probably see the most rainy days, with heavy downpours, sometimes lasting a day or two, but in between you will still have some nice weather. As from November the dry season starts with the weather getting more and more stable and after new year there will normally not be much rain until June. Phuket is a very green island even during the dry season and also have some quite high mountains stretching up to 4-500 meters. Even if Phuket nowadays has several million visitors a year you can still find beaches, mainly on the north part of the island, which does not have many tourists, no sun chairs or umbrellas, just a simple bamboo hut restaurant where you can have a good meal. If you feel for some more beach activities, there are Kata Beach in the south, Karon Beach, Patong Beach, Kamala Beach, Surin Beach and finally Bang Tao Beach being the northernmost of these well developed tourist areas. If you would like to see some more traditional part of Phuket a visit to Phuket Town is recommended, especially to the old part of town around Debuk Road where you can explore small antique shops, fashion boutiqes, art and handicraft. Also many nice restaurants and coffe shops. The architecture is Sino Portuguese with influences from both China and Portugal.

Kamala Beach is perfectly located on the west coast of Phuket. The small village has many shops and restaurants to choose from and the beach itself is great for sunbathing and swimming. Nearby Laem Singh Beach can easily be reached with taxi or long tail boat and is a popular day time destination. About 6 km south of Kamala is well known Patong Beach and about 4 km norht of Kamala is the smaller Surin Beach which offers a more boutique style setting. In Kamala you will also find the theme park "Fantasea'' which offers a fantastic cultural show six days a week combined with probably the biggest buffet in Thailand.

The Kamala village has kept much of it original charm and visiting the weekly market is a good way to see and interact with the local people.

The villa itself is located directly ocean front in front of the 4+ star Cape Sienna Hotel on the famous ''Millionaires mile'' in Kamala where you will find some of the most exclusive villas and hotels on Phuket.
