This is a traditional one bedroom apartment (with additional, full sized, double sofa-bed in the lounge) located right in the heart of Edinburgh. A stone's throw away from the world famous Edinburgh Castle, it makes the perfect base for anyone visiting the city on either a short break or longer stay. I live in Edinburgh myself and handle the bookings so I'm on hand to help with local advice and knowledge to make your stay run as smoothly as possible. I'm happy to guide you to all the best bars/restaurants etc, although I also leave a basket of leaflets/fliers/takeaway menus in the apartment to give you more ideas.
The apartment is bright, spacious and comfortable, and it has plenty of storage/hanging space. It also has a large TV (with all the Freeview TV channels), CD player, free WI-FI internet, and a few books/magazines to entertain you during your stay. The beds are comfortable and the main bed benefits from a memory foam topper. If an extra bed is required, we can provide an additional double inflatable mattress for the bedroom, although there is an extra charge of £25 to cover the extra linen/bedding/set up costs.
Linen and towels are included in the price, along with all cleaning. There is a washer/drier and iron plus ironing board should you need them. We also provide a friendly 'meet and greet' service to provide you with keys and show you around the apartment when you first arrive. Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, and milk are provided so you can have a 'cuppa' to help you settle in. We also provide a few other basics (such as salt, washing up liquid, cloths, washing powder, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel) to avoid you having to bring everything with you.
The apartment is perfectly positioned to access all that Edinburgh has to offer. Right next to Grassmarket, a thriving hub of activity, including pubs/shops/restaurants, along with numerous street performances/markets. Only 5 mins walk to the Usher Hall/Lyceum Theatre and numerous other festival venues. 5 mins walk in the other direction brings you to Victoria Street, which is filled with boutique shops and restaurants, and leads up to the Royal Mile. Their is also a Sainsbury's supermarket for stocking up on groceries, just 2 mins walk from the apartment. It is also only a few minutes in a taxi, or 10 mins walk from Waverley Train Station.
We are happy to accommodate long term lets and apply a discount to out standard pricing for stays of 2 weeks or longer. Please enquire.

Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, is historic and cultured city, whose setting is wonderfully striking; perched on a series of extinct volcanoes and rocky crags. If you're looking for a broad mixture of great things to see and do, Edinburgh is the place to be. Admire stunning scenery, striking architecture, fine food, and first-class attractions.
Edinburgh Castle dominates the city-centre skyline and is the focus throughout August for the nightly 'Military Tattoo' and the Virgin Money End of Festival fireworks display (31st Aug). From its ramparts you can look down on medieval lanes and elegant, sweeping terraces that hold over a thousand years of history, mystery and tradition. Yet you will also see a modern capital where, galleries display cutting-edge art, and bars, restaurants and clubs create a lively, cosmopolitan atmosphere with a distinctly Scottish twist.
Edinburgh is home over the summer to numerous arts/music/comedy and film festivals, and provides a magical backdrop for a city break. The Fringe festival is among the biggest comedy festivals in the world and offers hundreds of performances and free street shows.
