Western Cyprus has an enviable all year round climate, with warm sunshine 12 months of the year.
January and February are traditionally the wet and rainy months, with June through to late October being the hottest where temperatures can easily soar over 100 degrees at midday.
During the dry months go off-road to Adonnis falls, or up to the Trodoos mountains, how about taking part in an excavation in and around the tomb of the kings, watch how history is unfolding as they dig out the centuries.
All year round and during the four seasons there are places of cultural and historic interest, of course Aphrodite the goddess of love has her own very special "rock" to remember her by, so why not consider getting married on our island of love!!
Romance is never far away here, with quiet rugged coves and gently sweeping beaches to watch the stunning blood red sunsets that can view enjoyed form almost every coastal point.
If less romantic pursuits is what your looking for how about a round or golf, the area boats 3 challenging golf courses, all offering a different vantage point of the district, the Secret valley as it's name suggests, is tucked away in a green valley, and Aphrodite hills hosting many international tournaments each year, with enviable views across the the "rock" and azure seas beyond, a very special place!!
A visit to Paphos harbour is a must for people and wedding watching, sit and sip a cocktail while you watch the world walk by or take one of the different boat trips on offer.
Peyia's elevated position offers great views out across the bays, you can sit at Sophies sunset bar or Nero's glassed fronted open bar's and take in the breathtaking views day and night, the landscape inclines upwards from the two beaches of Coral and Corallia bay and pavements can be haphazard so watch your step, but don't be afraid to explore, the local sea caves can be calm or raging and exhilarating to watch.
A little further along you'll discover the tiny fishing port of Argious Georgias, where the waters are ideal for snorkelling with no motorised sports making it a real haven for peace and quiet.
Drive further and you'll be on the Ackamantas peninsula where in the Autumn the beaches at Lara are awash with Turtles laying their eggs, this is a highly protected area and respect is expected but a night time watch is a must.
Closer to home, is Coral bay "strip" only a 2 minute drive from our apartment, it has restaurants, bars, night spots, taverna's to suit every taste and pocket.
