Morningside is an attractive district in the south west of the beautiful city of Edinburgh. Famous for the Morningside Clock an excellent landmark which makes navigation simple. Other landmarks are Holy Corner, Church Hill Theatre & the family run Streamline Moderne Dominion Cinema (very popular for its comfortable reclining seats). The Kings Theatre is only a short distance away.
The area boasts plenty of History & more recently very famous authors like J.K. Rowling, Alexander McCall Smith, Ian Rankin, Muriel Spark & Aileen Paterson, author of the children's series about "Maisie the Morningside Cat". Many other famous names are linked to this area.
It is a short walk in to Morningside & all it's amenities. There is a wide range of small traditional shops, cafes & restaurants including two artisan bakers. The Morningside supermarkets are Waitrose & M&S for stocking up but the local eateries are so good you don't need to stay in & cook.
Morningside even has it's own glossy magazine with information of what is happening locally.
