This light and spacious first floor holiday apartment in our splendid Victorian Country House, has a large twin aspect lounge with splendid views over the Marsland Valley. It has two big bedrooms, one with a double bed and a single and the other with twin beds. The open plan lounge/dining room has a flatscreen colour TV with DVD player. The well equipped kitchen has electric cooker, fridge/freezer and microwave. The bathroom has a bath with a shower. Central heating is included in the price.

Set in 6 acres attractive gardens and fields deep in the Devon countryside close to the sea and the Cornish border. Guests have use of a solar heated swimming pool (May to September), a games room with pool/snooker, table tennis, computer games as well as books, toys and board games. There is a licensed restaurant on site and an excellent real ale pub within easy walking distance. The beach is a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk away.

A stunning coastal area which is nationally protected for the beauty of its landscape.

The spectacular scenery around Welcombe makes it the perfect venue for those who enjoy coast and country walks. Berry Park borders the Marsland Valley which is a site of special scientific interest (SSSI) and an officially designated area of outstanding natural beauty. It is home to much rare wildlife including red deer, otters, owls and buzzards, Numerous wild flowers abound especially in the springtime when bluebells carpet the woods and it becomes hard to believe that orchids are rare. In Autumn the area produces a rich variety of mushrooms and toadstools.

For those who enjoy sports, there is a choice of indoor swimming pools as well as

Fishing is a popular pastime available at several places along the coast as well as at the Tamar Lakes.

The famous fishing village of "Clovelly" is a short drive away and day trips to Lundy and fishing and diving trips on the Jessica Hettie are available from there.

In addition to the diversity of it's landscape, the area also plays host to a wonderful selection of fine gardens. RHS Rosemoor is 45 Minutes drive away and a visit can be combined with a trip to the Dartington Crystal Factory.
