Our property features a large fishing lake for pleasure fishing, heated swimming pool, big sun terrace with lounges and pool toys. Swim, fish or play traditional French ball games on the pitch. Pick some herbs from the veg garden. Take a stroll around the lake and have a picnic on the lawn. Or walk over the bridge to the newly constructed island gazebo. Go for a bike ride around the country lanes (bike hire available). Life here is slow and peaceful but with an abundance of attractions and amenities close by. Within easy reach are sandy beaches, beautiful castles, pretty villages, restaurants, shops, the famous Puy du Fou, historical Vendée with its walking and cycling routes, vineyards, windmills and ancient architectural features. Young families are welcome. The swimming pool is securely fenced. All grounds, gardens and lake are open for discovery and enjoyment. Vast covered area. Large lawns. The garden is not overlooked and is really welcoming from early morning until sunset and is an ideal place to spend time and relax with a glass of wine. The property is fenced all the way around and has a secure parking. The fishing lake stocked with common carp, roach, perch, gudgeon, tench and more. Complementary Welcome pack to get you started, dishwasher tablets, washing powder, toilet paper and cleaning products are all provided. We provide all the linen and towels including towels for use around the swimming pool. For our guest we provide a map of walking/cycling routes around the area and maps of the region. The information file is updated on the weekly basis. Easel, brushes, oils and canvases available to the enthusiastic painters. Pool heated from May to September. Fire wood for the wood burners can be supplied throughout October-March. Cot and high chair are available on request. There is enough space for a cot or extra fold out bed in the bedroom. Vendée is known as the 'Coast of Light' due to the fact it receives as many or more sunshine hours per year as the Cote d'Azur, between 1800 and 2000 per year, the most on the coast itself, hence its nickname.
Sandy beaches one hour drive. Les Sables d'Olonne is the absolutely must with its beautiful coast, beach bars/ restaurants and an incredible relaxing atmosphere. Another destination not to miss - La Rochelle with its massive stone towers over the old port, hundreds of restaurants and never-ending shopping streets.
Nantes airport - an hour drive. La Rochelle airport - an hour and a quarter drive. Poitiers airport - an hour and a half by car.
St Malo is three hours drive. Caen is four hours drive. Calais is seven hours drive.
