Prospect-Place is a stylish and chic town house in one of the most stylish and chic seaside resorts in Wales. This former Victorian grocers shop is right in the heart of Aberdovey and only a short hop from some great restaurants, boutique shops, friendly pubs and sandy beaches.
The property commands a prime corner location, and as the original large picture windows have been retained, this living area is bathed in light throughout the day. But there are some very expensive looking wooden blinds to ensure a bit more privacy during the evening.
The property has plenty of storage and seating, bed side lamps etc. More importantly the rooms have been furnished with taste. There are some nice pictures from local artists, Cath Kidston linen, and designer radiators.

The kitchen-diner is small but perfectly formed. Hardwood worktops combine with contemporary appliances and stainless steel fixtures to make a thoroughly modern and functional kitchen-diner. The adjoining lounge has a similar modern feel.
From the lounge you step into a central hallway. Steps lead up to the bedrooms and down to the cellar. There's a ground floor WC here as well. Half the cellar provides an excellent secure storeroom for wet and muddy gear, wetsuits, surfboards, buckets and spades etc. There's access directly to street level from here, so it's perfect for those planning a more active holiday. Limited headroom, so take care! The other half of the cellar has been converted into a laundry room with washing machine and freezer etc.
Two bedrooms on the first floor, one single and one double with shower en-suite. There's also a separate shower room on this level. Up one more flight of steps to the 2nd floor. One standard double rooms and one double room with an en-suite shower room (no wc). A separate wc is accessed from the landing.
As well as being perfect for a traditional seaside break, Aberdovey and Snowdonia in general is fast becoming the UK's activity capital. For the more energetic out there is plenty to choose from. Kite surfing, sea kayaking, white water rafting, and mountain biking are all available. Tywyn and the famous Tal Y Llyn steam railway is 10 minutes to the north and the city of Aberystwyth is about 30 minutes to the south.
As mentioned, Aberdyfi is a very fashionable town with some fantastic pubs and restaurants, as well as all the usual shops and touristy type places. The town, somehow, remains untarnished from the neon commercialism that has spoilt a lot of British seaside resorts. We enjoyed an afternoon crab fishing on the old wharf and we must have built hundreds of sand castles on the beach. I'm told that the yacht club is very active and that the links golf course is among the best in Wales.
