Ca'Degolin is a charming and luxurious home on 2 levels with private entry from a sunny alley that ends on a canal. The house was renovated in 2011 with commitment and an eye on details, paying particular attention to keeping the Venetian atmosphere. The high quality and tasteful furnishings, a mixture of original Venetian handmade furniture and some modern classics make Ca'Degolin a real residence to relax and enjoy. Unfortunately, we cannot make use of our loved hideaway all year round, so we offer our guests the possibility to spend their holidays in an authentic and romantic surrounding. The air conditioning and central heating provide you a pleasant stay both in summer and in winter. Its strategic but quiet location makes this house the ideal base for sightseeing or taking trips to the lagoon.
The private entry hall downstairs welcomes our guests with a typically Venetian marble floor with a red and white checkerboard pattern.
Access to the first floor and the remaining rooms is via a marble staircase. The spacious entry area leads to a fully equipped kitchen with electric cooker, dishwasher and washing machine. The ample living/dining room with parquet flooring is decorated in a classical-contemporary style, and invites you to relax on a cosy couch and Le Corbusier armchairs.
Games and toys for children, books, a DVD player, a TV and an iMac promise you entertainment and relaxation.
The two elegant bedrooms on the first floor are equipped with real parquet Doussie. The original Venetian furniture was designed and produced by Guarise.
The master bedroom, decorated with light-coloured fabrics, represents the romantic mood of past times.
A Louis XVI style double bed, gilded bedside tables and Murano chandeliers create an atmosphere of pure luxury. A lovely sofa-bed with easy operation offers further two sleeping accommodations.
The second bedroom with views of a typical “corte” is equipped with two Rococo style single beds and decorated with Venetian fabrics in blue and red.
High quality mattresses and bedlinen as well as fly screens allow you a good night's sleep.
Both bathrooms have shower, WC and bidet and are equipped with lovely glass mosaics in classical, gold accentuated colours.
Thanks to the spacious layout, Ca' Degolin is ideal for a family with elder children or 2 couples.

Moreover, Venice, as beautiful and unique it is, has a hinterland absolutely worth-seeing as well. Of course, the towns Treviso, Padua and Verona are always worth a visit, but there are also many other interesting places to discover.
You should ideally rent a car (e.g. from Avis at the Piazzale Roma or from Europcar at the train station in Mestre) and drive e.g. along the Brenta Canal. Here you will find splendid villas of Venetian noble families in a row like pearls on a string, one more beautiful and more impressive than the other.
The popularity of the pretty small town Asolo is due to the famous actress Eleanora Duse, who used to live here from 1919 to 1923 and was also buried here.
In 1989, the Eugenean Hills, a ridge of hills of volcanic origin south-west of Venice were appointed the first Venetian natural park. Today, the region is well-known particularly because of its geothermal activities and hot springs and its gentle, Tuscan landscape.
Dorsoduro, one of six sestieri of Venice, is the “piu chic“ and most sought after area of the historic Venice. Located in the south west of the town and sourrounded by the Grand Canal and the Canale di Giudecca, it is a charming and bright area adored by many foreigners who found their second home here and also Venetians who love to make “bella figura“ on the Zattere promenade. Although it houses many picturesque canals and important palazzi, Dorsoduro is not crowded by tourists like San Polo or San Marco and still a quiet residential area. Thanks to the university Ca' Foscari and many art galleries and exhibitions, the vibe of the district is artistic and relaxed.
