The rest of the grounds, approximately 2000 sq meters, lend themselves to a gentle game of boules or croquet!
The 8 x 4 metre pool, with Roman steps and an alarm security system, is secluded and surrounded by a fenced garden, set with numerous shrubs, trees and flowers.
The Dordogne region is renowned for its Chateaux, vineyards and breathtaking landscapes. Bordeaux lies just to the west, and apart from the city itself, it offers some of the most beautiful beaches. Approximately 1.5 hrs from Eymet. The climate is ideal, long, hot sunny days and warm balmy nights.
Bergerac is an historic town with a wealth or charming cobbled streets and interesting antiques and curiosity shops. It lies on the banks of the river Dordogne and along with Eymet and most of the other market towns, plays host to a weekly market, frequented by tourists and locals alike. Here you can buy fresh fish, flowers, bread, foie gras, fruit as well as jewellery, clothes and shoes!
Truly a market which caters for everyone's needs. In the season, Eymet also holds a night market which has a wonderful atmosphere. Moules frites are on offer, as well as a barbecue and the evening takes on a carnival atmosphere. More of a social evening than a shopping expedition.
In addition, there are several local golf courses, tennis courts, cycle and canoe hire for the more energetic!
