The large slate flagstone floored kitchen with its traditional Aga and painted wood kitchen is a beautiful room to cook in or eat breakfast with your friends and family. There is also a pantry with the original meat hooks in place which now houses the fridge freezer and forms a general storage area. From the kitchen you can walk into the spacious utility room and then into the downstairs cloakroom.

Upon opening what used to be another main entrance door, you see a traditional well pump (not in use) and another door into what has got to be one of the best wet rooms that you could wish for. With its large glass floor mounted screen, twin rainfall shower heads and a wash basin set into a granite worktop on a Maple cupboard, this is great after a hard day on the beach! Incidentally, there are 8 superb beaches (Trevone, Harlyn Bay, Constantine Bay, Booby's Bay, Treyarnon Bay, Porthcothan, Padstow Beach and Tregirls) that are all within a 20 minute drive which makes Tregonna House the ideal location for beach holidays and coastal walking enthusiasts. There is also a lot of water sports available in Rock which can be easily accessed via the water taxi in Padstow.

Elsewhere on the ground floor you have a separate dining room, a beautiful lounge which also has an open fire that can be used and a traditional style conservatory which is great to sit in and relax.

Upstairs there are four bedrooms which are very tastefully furnished and a superb family bathroom with bath, separate shower and built in 'his and hers' sinks. Tregonna House sleeps 8 and the bed configurations are; Master bedroom - 5 ft king bed. Bedroom Two - 5ft king bed. Bedroom Three - 2 x single beds. Bedroom Four - 2 x single beds.

For avid Foodie fans, the property is a very short drive or taxi to; The Seafood Restaurant, Paul Ainsworth at No 6 Rick Steins Cafe, St Petroc's Bistro and Margots Bistro. If you catch the water taxi from Padstow (seasonal operating times) you can also walk to Nathan Outlaws restaurants and Tides Restaurant. Just down the coast road, you can also visit Jamie Olivers Fifteen restaurant.

Cornwall is now attracting people all year round so when the weather is not so warm, visitors enjoy bracing footpath walks, foodie breaks, cookery schools and much more

Little Petherick

Porth is a very popular family destination that is near Newquay and it is on the coast road that takes you to Watergate Bay, Mawgan Porth and up to Padstow. Newquay is just up the main hill and turn right. Porth beach is a great family beach and it is not a surf beach although life guards do patrol it in the summer season. On the beach in the summer there is also an ice cream shop, cafe and the Mermaid Inn is open all year round. Porth is ideally placed to explore the North Cornish coast and all it has to offer. There are some great dining options nearby or you can drive 25 minutes up to Padstow for lots more! Many of guests eat at The Beach Hut on watergate bay, Jamie Olivers Fifteen also at Watergate Bay, Lewannack Lodge on Pentire, Rojano's in Padstow, Paul AInsworth in Padstow or steaks at The Mermaid Inn.

The best nearest surf beaches are Watergate Bay, which you can walk to across the beach at low tide or you can walk around to Lusty glaze beach and down into the numerous Newquay surf beaches.
