All the villas have been stylishly architecturally designed and we are lucky to have space around us with plenty of beautiful scenery. Our villa is at the end of a quiet cul de sac on level ground, some of the villas in Cabanyes have very steep drives.

The peace of Cabanyes after a busy day on the beach is fantastic and the garden is the highlight of the property with its views of the Gavarres and is very restful. The garden has sun from first thing in the morning until sunset so is perfect for evening barbecues.

The Catalunia region

This part of the Costa Brava is a beautiful, rugged, unique part of Spain, with its own character and language. The area attracts visitors from all over Spain and Europe who head here to enjoy the food, history, culture, scenery - sandy beaches and pine clad coves; near the Mediterranean with it's easy access and temperate climate.

The Cami de Ronda is a coastal path that winds through pine coves, past beautiful beaches & the twinkling Mediterranean, from S'Agaro in the South to Begur north of the region.

The Dali museum in Figueras and the Dali triangle is easily reached from Calonge, whilst the Picasso & Science museums, Park Guill, Sagrada Familia and Aquarium in Barcelona is an hour and ten minutes away on the train from the station at Caldes ( an easy 20 minute drive with free parking ).

kiing in Volter 2000 Camprodon is 1 hour and a half away.

Calonge

Viscondado de Cabanyes is set amongst the Gavarres range of hills, so it is a peaceful spot but only a short drive - ten minutes away from the beaches and night-life or Tapas bars and restaurants of the Costa Brava - totally unspoilt by tacky tourism, this area is famed for it's culture in nearby Palamos and medieval Calonge, and further afield - 10 km to the harbours and beaches of Llafranc and Calella de Palafrugell.

A five minute drive takes you to the busier town nearby for some night-life at Platja d'Aro or Saint Antoni de Calonge and the waterpark Aquadiver or the many children's activities on the sandy beaches nearby. Great restaurants, bars, shopping in Girona the lovely Rjojan and Penedes wine, and of course the Golf, PGA Catalunya and many other courses are nearby.

Great for cycling, we have plenty of information in the villa with the cycle routes, maps and books of the area.
