Bodmin Moor, Penzance and St Michael's Mount also make great day outings.
The coastal path is literally 10 metres in front of the apartment, and there are numerous walks around the immediate area - the Gannel Estaury, Polly Joke, and the fabulous Newquay Bay beaches. For children -there are the Bodmin Railway, Newquay Zoo, Aquarium, Dairyland and Lappa Valley etc .
Fistral Beach - the venue for international surfing events such as Rip Curl Boardmasters has its International Surfing Centre with restaurants, shops and hire faciliies at the other end of the beach- literally ten minutes walk. Here at South Fistral there is a cafe restaurant nestled in the rocks where you can relax, dine and watch the sun go down. Or if you prefer, take the portable barbecue bucket down to the beach and enjoy your own cuisine.
