The living accommodation comprises a a well equipped kitchen, large living/dinning room with fireplace and stove. There is one double bedroom downstairs with en suite shower and toilet. Stairs lead from the living room upstairs to one large double bedroom, and two large bedrooms with 2 single beds in each. There is also a travel cot upon request. A good size family bathroom with bath. Please note: there is no TV or Video or internet connection. Internet wifi is available in the village.

A door in the kitchen leads to a large covered patio providing shade from the midday sun with table and seating for 10. There is also a large paved patio accessed by french doors from the living area. There is a garden table on this patio. Within the secluded garden is an 8 x 4m pool. The views are spectacular. From the garden you can enjoy lovely walks around the farmland and down to the local fishing lakes.
The Dordogne, or Perigord is divided into four regions: black perigord, purple perigord, green and white. There are beautiful rivers, pretty villages, interesting châteaux and prehistoric caves.
The village of Verteillac is a short distance (walkable-hilly) and has a bank, post office, restaurants, art gallery, paper shop, bakery, butcher, clothes shop, hairdressers, brocante and a local store which sells almost everything! In high season there is a Saturday market.
There are also tennis courts and a large well kept public swimming pool. There is a riding school in the village. Fishing can be enjoyed at the local lakes and at various other locations within an short drive. Golf can be played at a 9 hole course nearby or in Perigueux.
There are beautiful villages to visit/caves/churches to visit or enjoy a relaxing canoe trip.
Riberac is 12 km away where there are LeClerc and Intermarche supermarkets and all other shops that you would expect in a large town together with an excellent market on Fridays. Within 1/2 hour drive is the beautiful lake Jamaye with lakeside beach.
