On the second floor you will find the master bedroom and the lounge. Both have access to the balcony with wonderful views over the Marche countryside. It is a particular pleasure to sit on the balcony in the evening with a glass of local Verdichio watching the lights appear on the surrounding hilltops.
On the first floor are bedroom two and the kitchen/dining room which has direct access into the village square while the ground floor has a studio with two double divans. Children love this room.

The house is located in the Centro Storico which is an area of architectural importance . The equivalent of listed bildings in U K . Directly opposite is a park which used to be the private grounds of the Villa Copetti .It is now a public park with a childrens play area delightful walks statues and picnic tables.
Scenery, architecture, beaches, mountains, golf , opera, art, food, wine, sunshine. Le Marche has it all in abundance, but perhaps the biggest attraction is the friendly welcome. Tourists are rare in this totally unspoilt part of Italy. The stunning scenery and the light make the region ideal for a painting holiday.

Castelbellino is a village of 2000 inhabitants, each one of which will want to be your friend. It is 800 feet above sea level on a hilltop buried in the countryside, yet only a short drive from the beach, and close to many places of interest. It was the location together with the beauty of the village and the charm of the house which brought us here originally. We can almost guarantee that you will be the only foreign visitors in the village and also that you will receive a warm welcome.
The house is located right in the village square (piazza) where you will find a church, a small theatre, the town hall (commune) a small museum (by appointment only) and "Tambura Battente" an excellent ristorante run by Gino Samplese an accomplished artist who has been exhibited in Rome and in America. You will find his latest works on the walls of the restaurant.
You may be lucky enough to visit when there is an event in the square. Maybe the Mayday fair or the Christmas fair or an outdoor cinema screening or one of the many free concerts put on by the commune. There are often art displays in the museum and most weeks see at least one wedding in the little church. Couples come from miles around either to be married or just for wedding photographs as the village is famed for its beauty.
We are right in the centre of the Verdichio wine producing region and there are many wineries in the immediate area where you can buy superb wine direct from the growers. Of course they will expect you to indulge in a tasting and many are happy to give a tour of their premises. There are also lots of good restaurants close by in the surrounding towns and villages.
