This is a truly stunning beach and surrounding area! At other beaches in Donegal, you may have to walk a considerable distance to dip your toes in the shallow tide. Not so with Kinnagoe! The tide is always in and waves crash all day long. Such is the nature of this remarkable place. Golden sands, sometimes without a footprint, and absolutely no pollution of any kind. Bright, clean, pure water. A miracle in this day and age.
Dean Jobb of Canada's “Globe and Mail” visited Kinnagoe in the summer of 2010 and he wrote the following in a big centre spread titled “One perfect day at Kinnagoe Bay” :
