To further enhance your experience, why not stay in our 15th century home which features wonderful exposed stone walls and original heavy old timbered beams. The home is situated in the perfect location only a few feet from the medieval square and the home of the "Black prince". Our home is very large and features three bedrooms, two large sitting rooms, an spacious well equipped open concept kitchen, and two very nice washrooms. The entrance level floor which was once the old stable and hayloft is a wonderful place for children to play and enjoy the various games provided. For the adults, its a great place to relax, enjoy the wonderful art, antique furniture and the comfortable cream leather sofa and chairs while perhaps watching a DVD on the HDTV. At night, the leather sofa unfolds into a queen size bed for those who wish to sleep under the great oak beams. On the first floor, the family can all come together and sit and relax by the fireplace, create a great meal in the kitchen or dine while enjoying a view of ancient tile roofed homes. A few steps upward beyond that, are two large well appointed bedrooms that share a luxious modern bathroom with some interesting architechtural features. The home is a great place for a couple, a group of friends, or a large family to call home and enjoy all that the region has to offer.

Our home is located in a perfect location in the village, just off the main square. Here, you will find a number of great restaurants, the home of the "Black Prince", and many small shops and art galleries. In addition, the square also hosts medieval festivals, village markets, Thursday evening feasts, music concerts, antique fairs, flower shows, and various religious or cultural celebrations. At the base of the village, one can find, the village olympic size swimming pool, a small lake to canoe on or jog around and the equestian stable where one can hire a horse for a ride through the countryside. Within the immediate area itself, one can explore castles, and prehistoric caves, lazy rivers to canoe upon, ancient abbeys, historical museums, children's play parks, wonderful forests, numerous vineyards, and breathtaking country views.
The home is usually rented on a weekly basis from a Saturday to a Saturday. However, if the home is not rented the week before or the week after your selected dates, you may check in early or stay later.

Full and final payment:
Full and Final booking payment is due 5 weeks prior to booking date.
Bookings made within 5 weeks of holiday date are payable in full including security deposit at the time of booking.

Lot et Garonne and the southern Dordogne region are areas that are blessed by an abundant amount of sunshine and beautiful rolling hills. As a result, one is surrounded by fields of sunflowers and numerous vineyards. This area known as the "Tuscany of France" is also steeped in history. Prehistoric man roamed through here centuries ago, and more recently, the area was fought over by the French and the English. As a result, one can find a castle or chateau almost around every bend. The area also offers wonderful opportunites for canoeing, cycling, walking or simply driving the curves and seeing the sites.
Monflanquin is famous for its Medieval festival which occurs every August and draws thousands of visitors in the village and surrounding area. However, the village always has something special taking place from Thursday evening markets in which locate farmers bring in and cook their wares for hundreds of hungry locals and tourists alike, to antiques fairs, art shows, flower festivals and various concerts.
